Clean good sized room. Staff helpful.

Really welcoming staff. Hotel is a little dated but comfy bed and very clean.

I booked on the day of arrived and needed late check in, Stef was very helpful and waited around for me. My room was spotless and very comfortable.

Excellent service and very clean and friendly atmosphere

Check in was good and easy and the restaurant was great. The rib-eye steak was amazing! Hotel room was good size but a little dated and extremely cold. The heating was only working for less than a minute and then it goes off. I tried to turn on severally but it wouldn’t turn on for another maybe 5 minutes or so then on less than a minute and then off. I struggled with cold through out the night. I was in room 6 for a night.

Hotel reception and check-in was easy and cordial, Room #6 was spacious as was the ensuite, and the staff were eager, energetic, and attentive---especially in the restaurant. The restaurant offered a variety of foods, beverages, and delicious desserts. A+ for the restaurant! However, based upon our experience the only time I would stay again would be in high summer. Room #6 was freezing. And the Dimplex electric wall-mounted heater was pitiful. It would only operate for 90 seconds before switching off, and one had to wait about 2-3 minutes with the mains switched "off" before switching on at the mains and then switching on the heater again for another 90-second burst of heat. Needless to say, the heater would not activate throughout the night, so with temperatures down to 2° C/36° F at night, we were freezing cold even under two duvets! I'm not sure if this was a Scottish thrift measure to save on heating, but it was the difference between a 3-star and 4-star rating. There is no one on duty at reception during the night. When I addressed the heater at reception, the staff member offered to have a free-standing heater sent to the room... but we instead received a rather grumpy older man who fiddled with the heater, managed to switch it "on," and then left. Of course, the heater stopped functioning after 90 seconds.

A lovely hotel, everything was spotlessly clean and staff were friendly and welcoming.

Room was pretty basic but clean. There was no breakfast or any access for breakfast which was disappointing.

Room clean but floor is at an angle. Alarm system at front desk was beeping for over an hour between 1 and 2am making it impossible to sleep. No staff on site to reset this.

Easy early check in, very comfy room. Nice bar and lovely evening meal. Highly recommend

A quaint little inn in a small town outside of Perth. Friendly staff, nice sized room with an updated bathroom.

Great pub and staff nice. Food good. Value for money. Disappointed to have a very lukewarm shower.

Be warned that this property is "closed" from Sunday night when the bar closes (about 10pm) to Wednesday morning at about 8am. Not mentioned in their Expedia listing and they take hotel bookings regardless so if your thing is staying in an out of the way, fairly down at heel establishment redolent of scenes from "The Shining", then have at it. The bed was clean, fresh and very comfortable though - for the one night I stayed out of the 5 nights I booked and pre-paid for. I checked out as fast as I could but even that is a misnomer - with zero, and I mean nobody, staff on the premises, I just left my keys (to the whole hotel) at Reception and scarpered. I was genuinely just given the keys and told to go to the Spar over the road if I wanted food and drink. As a solo female traveller, I did not feel welcome or safe. Nor did I feel it was incumbent on a paying guest to be ditched. Also - alarmingly - the whole place smells of stale fried fish - thats the special supper on a Wednesday - but it lingers. It's a real pity that guests are not a priority at this hotel because the village is pretty and the hotel could be lovely. Apparently the restaurant is highly rated but alas, closed, and the two teabags I was left with didn't touch sides.

The was a very good size and would easily take a family.

Was given room 7 - no wifi and no mobile reception. No soap in the room. Room overall needed a good clean.

Great spacious room. Comfortable bed. Nice hotel.
