The staff member that checked me in was super friendly and accommodating. The room was basic, but not in a negative way. It was comfortable and clean. The bed was perfect after a long hike! Additionally, it’s in a great location if you’re there for the local trails. Can’t make a recommendation on the food as I didn’t eat there.

We had everything we needed to complete the Snowy Alpine Trail at Stillwell. A comfy bed and a warm shower at the end of the trail each day. The food was good considering we stayed out of snow season and there was only one person in the kitchen. The salad was fresh and chicken cooked well. Only a few meals available but they were cooked well. Staff were lovely at all times. Wine and beer was cold! Highly recommend Stillwell for being handy to walk the trails nearby.

The hotel was our base for 4 days while walking the Snowies Alpine trail. It was basic but had comfortable beds, good showers and reasonable space. The balcony wasn’t accessible because it was in need of serious renovation. The food in the restaurant was just OK (it was the only place open for food in the village at the time we were there).

My stay at Stillwell was great. The staff were awesome, and being so close to Mount Kosciusko allowed for an easy start for Hiking in the region.

I tried cancelling this reservation weeks ago - I waited on hold for over 45 minutes twice to the hotel ( as no one was answering ) only to be told that i had to talk to wotif. Then wotif person told me that they can’t contact the hotel

Not recommended. Couldn’t contact the hotel at all. Very inconvenient. You could not drive to the hotel as they doesn’t allow staying overnight, forcing customers to pay for expensive and time consuming transport.

Our room had a great view of the slopes and was very clean albeit small but we didn’t mind as we were out exploring most of the time.

Clean but very basic room,staff were pleasant& helpfull. Room had nowhere to sit other than bed, very awkward to boil jug or recharge phone etc. Needs at least 2 chairs and small table. Not suitable for more mature age clients because of the above also stairs.. would not return.

Room was adequate and seems to have been recently renovated. No TV and fridge were as expected so we were ready for it. Wifi was passable with regular drop out or slow speed. Fan in the bathroom quite noisy and wish that it was a separate switch to the light. Good value overall given the exclusive location of the hotel.

The hotel was lovely, and great value for the price. It's right in Charlotte Pass which is perfect for an early morning start to Kosciuszko, and the staff were kind enough to facilitate late night check in even though we were arriving well after hours. It also has a great cafe on site with good coffee and breakfast options. Definitely recommend!
