When we arrived I don't think anyone smiled ever. We actually had to drive to the property before check-in just to have a question answered. The 'cottage' was not very clean, there were stains on the couch and it was in poor condition. The lounge chair was hard as a rock and also very old. The kitchen was poorly supplied with dishes - we had to toss our salad in a pot. Finally when I had to close the curtains to block the garbage area the curtains were also dirty. The patio outside the hot tub had food or food stains on it. All in all poor value for $750 a night...and after spending $2600 no one said Thanks or have a good day or smiled at all. I have worked in hospitality for many years and it was appalling. Customer service is clearly not a thing. I will never return or recommend.

The location was beautiful. We went by boat so having the marina attached to the property was great. The property and rooms seem neglected. I was expecting a higher end experience due the price. I was most disappointed by the bed. I booked a “king bed”. It was advertised as “one king bed” but it was two twin beds pushed together. When I spoke to the front desk about this issue I was told that the use of two twin beds was typical for the “king bed” rooms. This seems like blatant false advertising!!

We had a wonderful stay at Poets Cove Resort. Our room was spacious, clean, private, and very comfortable, which made it easy for our family to relax and enjoy the island. The hot tub was a great feature and made the stay feel extra special. We also really enjoyed the food, and the overall atmosphere of the resort was peaceful and welcoming. We had a great time and would happily stay again.

Restaurants were reasonable priced and the menu had a nice selection of food for all meals. Quality of dishes was excellent. Check in and check out were easy and the location was peaceful and just the kind of place you want to relax at.

it was nice and clean, tv is small, but who needs tv, when the view on the balcony is amazing! it was peaceful, nice, restaurant had a live music on Saturday night that we could enjoy from balcony, the food in the restaurand was delicious, two great pools, open late. the only thing that could be better is kettle. it was the cheapest plastic one and restaurants close at 9.

The resort is in a nice location and the view from our room was beautiful. However, the room itself is quite run down (stained carpet, chipped furniture, broken blinds). There is no A/C, so the room was very warm in the afternoon and evening. The ceiling fan, and the extra fan the hotel provides, didn’t really help to cool the room down.

Clean room good food in the restaurant, but the entire property was very noisy so don’t go there if you want to have quiet time

The hotel overall is good. However, for such an expensive hotel, it's lacking AC. So, on a hot night it's hard to sleep. Be aware that cleaning team don't even knock the door in the morning! Make sure your door is secure with the swing bar!

Beautiful spot! We got married here 21 years ago - first wedding ever!! Everything was amazing except no air conditioning and it got pretty warm in the daytime .. with proper air conditioning 10/10! The spa experience was absolutely amazing with Jill - she was just the best!! We will be back every year 🎉😎

Room was clean and the staff was excellent. However the bed desperately needs a new mattress.

Booked a Lodge room, which looked out to Bedwell Harbour. Nice complex. Restaurant options were good (luckily cause it's a bit of a drive to get to other restaurant options on North Pender). No air conditioning, but there was a fan to use if needed. It was needed! Had really nice staff and service in the restaurant for dinner. Two pools to choose from! Lots of great hiking and beautiful beaches nearby.

Do not expect a resort exper

We recently stayed at Poets Cove Resort & Spa and had an absolutely wonderful experience. Before our trip, I read many reviews and was surprised by the number of negative comments. After our stay, I honestly don’t understand why some people give this place low ratings. The resort is beautiful, with an amazing atmosphere and stunning surroundings. Our room was spacious, clean, and comfortable, and the view from our balcony was probably one of the best we have ever had. The entire property was very clean and well organized. The pools were excellent, and everything was maintained to a high standard. The staff throughout the resort were friendly, welcoming, and always willing to help. We enjoyed breakfast at Aurora and had dinner at Syrens Bistro. The food at both restaurants was excellent, but what stood out even more was the service. The servers were attentive, professional, and genuinely kind. We truly appreciated their hospitality and would like to thank them for making our stay even more enjoyable. Overall, our stay exceeded expectations, and we would gladly return in the future. We are happy to give Poets Cove Resort & Spa 5 stars and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxing getaway with beautiful views, great amenities, and exceptional service.

Pros: beautiful view, delicious breakfast, nice big pool Cons: wine cork on the room floor suggested it needed a better cleaning, room was 80 degrees and employee at reception gas lit me into thinking there was a ceiling fan, which there was not, other guests smoking on balconies Wouldn't return or recommend for the price.

Very good getaway spot. The rooms were fine in the main building. The restaurant was only average considering the price they were charging. But everyone working there was very helpful and lovely. It’s a quiet spot on a beautiful island.

We had a lovely stay at Poets Cove for three nights. Staff were very friendly and the resort is beautiful.

Had a wonderful weekend at the poets cove resort! The room is cozy and clean and has spectacular views of the harbour. The restaurant downstairs has great vibe serving delicious dinner with sunset view and live band by the water. We made good use of the well maintained tennis court and the hot tub during our stay which is such a bonus!

Amazing property. Friendly staff. We will be back. Only small criticism I have is that the bathroom lighting above the sink was not adequate in our room.
