Clean property . AC in the room was in effective. No room service . Had to go to front desk to get a towel .

This location was ideal for getting to the train station and old town. You could walk anywhere. The old Inn was a wonderful restaurant nearby. The hotel was always neat, clean and vibrant.

Everything was perfect except there is no coffee machine in room and the blankets are small.

Wir waren das erste Mal in einem Motel One, da dieses für unseren Aufenthalt die mit Abstand günstigste Option in Zürich war – und wir wurden positiv überrascht. Bereits vor der Anreise erhielten wir auf unsere Anfrage sehr schnell eine Antwort. Auch der Empfang vor Ort war trotz später Ankunft äußerst herzlich. Besonders gefallen hat uns der regionale Einfluss im gesamten Hotel. Das Frühstück überzeugte mit vielfältiger Auswahl und landestypischen Produkten wie Käse, Joghurt, Hefezopf und Laugengebäck. Da Allergene nicht direkt ausgewiesen waren, ging ein Mitarbeiter sogar mit uns das Buffet durch und erklärte alles im Detail – hervorragender Service. Generell waren alle Mitarbeitenden ausgesprochen freundlich und hilfsbereit. Das Hotel befindet sich in einem denkmalgeschützten Gebäude mit wunderschönem alten Treppenhaus, selbstverständlich sind auch Aufzüge vorhanden. Auch der Innenhof mit Außenbereich wirkte sehr einladend. Die Ablageflächen im Zimmer sind eher begrenzt, für unseren dreitägigen Aufenthalt aber völlig ausreichend. Praktisch war außerdem eine Steckdose mit 2 Steckervarianten. Die Lage hat uns ebenfalls gefallen: Zürichsee und Paradeplatz sind in etwa 10-15 Minuten zu Fuß erreichbar, der Hauptbahnhof in ca. 20 Minuten. Restaurants und Straßenbahn befinden sich ebenfalls in unmittelbarer Nähe. Das war sicher nicht unser letzter Aufenthalt in einem Motel One!

Motel One Zurich is in a very good location and close to restaurants. It was very clean and modern. We enjoyed our stay there.

wonderful experience and I would definitely go back there perfect spot for what I wanted to do. Staff are very friendly and breakfast was delicious. Hotel was clean, beds were comfortable and rooms soundproof slept really well.

The hotel isn't right in the old town but is conveniently located near a tram stop that takes you to Bahnhofstrasse with Paradeplatz a 10-minute stroll away. I think the building must have been a telephone exchange or something and is massive. It is well insulated from noise of other guests, and although I was by the elevator I heard nothing. You can hear the tram go by from time to time, though. The room decoration was modern and hip, but the amenities are minimal. No body or hand lotion, only one paper cup, no iron, no slippers or robe, no coffee maker. There is a safe in the room, but there is a minuscule clothing rack that can accommodate maybe 5 hangers max, and two very high and tiny shelves for clothes. There is no luggage rack although I suppose there is a small wooden bench that could perhaps serve as one. The "separate sitting area" is a lounge chair and a small, round table. If you are here to sight see and travel very light, the room may be fine; but I would not recommend this place for the business traveler as there is no desk. And the shower drain didn't work well and flooded the tiny bathroom. The breakfast, however, was a nice buffet spread with many choices. The accessible entrance is not easy to find, and if you don't, you'll have to drag your suitcase up one of two steep stair cases. Better signage would have been nice.
