Overall, we had a good experience & the staff was friendly. The property is very nice, the room furniture needs an upgrade but the room was clean. We traveled to Oaxaca in hot/warm weather and one of the most important amenities we needed was Air Conditioning. We checked in kind of late due to our late arrival, we didn't immediately check if the AC worked, after dinner we went back to the room and discovered that the AC was not working. Staff tried to make it work, unfortunately it didn't and we slept in discomfort. The next day the hotel was able to switch our room. Another thing, the breakfast is included (which is also included in the hotel stay). The food from the restaurant was fine, but you are limited to what can be ordered with the breakfast vouchers. And finally, the hotel bill will be charged in Mexican pesos (recommend that you use a credit card that doesn't charge a foreign transaction fee), but they give you the option to pay in cash. The hotel is located a few blocks from El zócalo (city center), mercando 20 de Noviembre, mercado benito juarez, and the Artisan mercado. We felt safe walking around day and night. They did not have the room I requested, the following day they moved us to the right room, wifi was very deficient, couldn’t place calls or access the internet

The room was super big and spacious but had very dated furniture looked like it was never upgraded from a couple decades ago, the linens were very old and outdated, no comforters just slightly thicker woven sheets. Wifi was a joke, frequent disconnects and speed was so slow and fluctuates between 2-8 Mbps while disconnecting quite often. Youtube would frequently buffer. The executive room with double bed was just not worth the price, you can find much better value at this price point elsewhere. The free breakfast was quite pathetic, overly diluted coffee, thin slices of fruit, stale toast, and unappetizing scrambled eggs with chorizo.
