I liked the check-in process. Easy to access the building and get room key. Lots of restaurants close by. The shower needs to be replaced though.

Great location. Staff are friendly. Only issue was skylight that meant your room got light by 5am.

Loved the room, super clean and convenient to downtown .I would stay again for an overbit not a long stay

Reasonably priced for time of year. Rooms are quite small. Bar in the alleyway went until 2:00 am. Able to street park since it was the weekend. Good location for walking around town.

While overall convenient for an overnight option, not having an elevator really hindered our stay. Not sure if it was mentioned on the listing but it wasnt something we knew coming in. We ended up just taking our carry on luggage with us and leaving the suitcases in our rental car and packing for our journey back in the car. It got a bit noisy from streets below but it didnt impact our stay, just something else to be aware of.

Close proximity to irish pubs and restaurants

Unique old building in walking distance to downtown and George St. As noted on their website, you can hear street noise from the rooms. The room was comfortable, the only issue we encountered was we were unable to connect with their Wi-Fi despite asking for assistance.

Cheaper option to stay in downtown St. John’s. Very old building, very small rooms but overall was taken care of and clean. Very close to restaurants and nightlife. Window shaker AC worked well.

Parking garage across the street so need to factor into the cost. Nice atmosphere in a very old building and our room was lovely. Very convenient to downtown and walkable, tho some hills (like anywhere in St. John’s) and on major route to get out of town to see surrounding area. Lots of fairly steep stairs to access rooms so beware!

The place was hard to find and the guy answering the phone did not give very good directions. Then the door code is hard to get through, as you need to go to another door.

Easy self check in and check out. Great downtown location. Lovely old building with really nice rooms.

Great location, very accessible to downtown bars and restaurants. The stairs are a bit of an issue and the room had a few issues. It was clean and comfortable but a few broken things in the room made it less than ideal for the price. I would still recommend it but was hoping to get the issues corrected before our stay ended. Did not happen.

Cute place and easy to get in. Older building so it was quite loud with the people upstairs walking. Quirky and interesting in a great location.

Historical building in the heart of Saint John’s. Surprisingly quiet and clean.

The room was tiny but okay. Just really only slept there. Definitely a historic building.
