Nice convenient stay at the Peacock hotel. Couldn’t fault the friendliness and care the staff showed us but feel in some areas, particularly the bedrooms and en-suites, could do with a refresh and update. Having said that, had a good nights sleep after an amazing meal at the hotel and a lovely breakfast. Thank you for having us.

Prima prijs-kwaliteit; accommodatie kent achterstallig onderhoud en qua netheid laat het hier en daar ook nog wel te wensen over. Personeel is niet al te gastvrij en vooral geïnteresseerd in upselling. Verder zijn het goede bedden, is het een rustig hotel en uitstekende uitvalsbasis voor de omgeving.

The room was very dirty - not just tired looking, as for this price my expectations were quite low but I wasn’t expecting it to be quite so dirty - walls in bathroom were splattered with god knows what, skirting boards caked in what looked like years old dust, hair in the shower, sheets were marked and stained. The room we had was made with what felt like paper thin walls and ceiling - we heard everything that was going on upstairs and across the hall. Would not stay here again unfortunately.

Room very small, had to inch around the bed to get in the other side, bathroom also small with toilet up against the shower cubicle. Shower had mould around the bottom of tray and on some tiles, toilet brush was unclean and water went down slowly in hand dasin. Small black flies in bathroom. Not very clean. Room could do with a good clean and stairs leading to room. Also room wasn't cleaned after the first night, bed not made, no fresh towels, mugs used and not changed and no top up of coffee and milk, when i asked about room not being cleaned i was told it should have been!!!!!!! But no offer to come up and do it. Hotel is in a great location, car park is a good size, thats all i can say. Didn't try breakfast or the restaurant, ate out.

Needs updating

Food was good, room was clean except for mould in the shower and behind the wash basin and the telly didn't work. Staff were friendly and helpful.

Lovely place. Staff friendly. Good parking. Perfect for what we needed.

The location is good, it needs a lot of cleaning, I was walking up the stairs and I saw chicken wing bones on the stairs, the staff is a 1. At 08:00 I knocked on the door to ask if I wanted to eat. You don't have time to rest. I don't really recommend it.

Terrible service. Booked a twin room and given a double. When this was raised, we were told we'd have to make our own beds as housekeeping had gone home. No bedding provided after asking twice so ended up sleeping in a unmade bed.

Stayed before, and this time we had one of the rooms accessible from the rear carpark and was ideal family room for me and mate for a local event. Staff very friendly and the breakfast was great. Good location for local pubs!

The room was very spacious and clean with a Gothic or Baroque tone to it which would be in keeping with its time. Lovely staff brought my dinner from their amazing malaysian restaurant to my room as I was a bit tired that evening. The food was excellent. Great place, thankyou.

The room was ok. It looked a bit tired and walls slightly dirty. A bit of TLC would improve things. The sink in the bathroom wouldn’t drain properly- blocked - which was annoying. Staff were pleasant

Despite a very friendly welcome on arrival, I find little to commend on both the hotel room nor the Raffles restaurant. Having stayed here a long long time ago and dined at the predecessor of the Raffles restaurant when it was located further down the road, I was REALLY looking forward to my return. I was bitterly disappointed

The ceiling is too thin to block any noise. I could not fall asleep sjmply because somebody upstairs was walking past midnight. I asked whether they could switch my room, bit it was impossible. Furthermore, there were two very short false fire alarms around 3 AM. I had a bad sleep. I canceled all my future stays at this hotel.

Everything good staff friendly but the heating only issues pressure with shower not enough hot water
