At check in we were so happy with how nice and clean the lobby was. There was access to a bar and restaurant and a nice seating area. We got dinner and later took our kids to the hot tub and pool. First thing noticed was how loud the music was playing, we could hardly hear each other. The kids got into the pool and my wife and got into the hot tub. While there we started to notice that some of the bubbles was a film of grime on the surface, then looked to the pool and it was there too. We went back to the room, which overall was clean and nice… besides the bathroom. When coming in the toilet was running and wouldn’t flush. I had to list the lid to find the the plunger cap was completely disconnected (I just snapped it back into place). When I went to wash the filth of the hot tub off of me I quickly noticed the strip of mold spots all along the shower curtain. The yucky pool/hottub water and the nasty shower was enough for me to say that I’ll find another hotel for our trips to Akron (3-4 a year).

This HGI is an older model. That said, everything inside needs a refresh. They offer a breakfast bar and menu option but only when occupancy is high. I found it nearly impossible to get a hot cup of coffee. The rooms are fairly quiet. The grounds are well maintained and parking is good. Location for me was very convenient and next to a great ice cream and coffee joint. Average hotel at best. Do not pay for the morning meal on Expedia because the hotel does not recognize it. Expect a $10-15 charge for breakfast

There was a convention party and very noisy until 2 AM.

Liz at the front desk was great and the restaurant bar is good too. Plus Starbucks and ice cream across the parking lot.

Dirty carpet in room hallways

When we arrived we had to wait 45 min after the 3:00 check in time. Should a free breakfast comp for the delay. Bathroom floor felt and strange. Had to wear shoes when going in. Never felt dry even the next day.

The hotel and staff are great. I question why I elected to pay $21 for breakfast and then was presented with an additional bill after eating? Either Hilton or Expedia has its wires crossed.

Great clean rooms nice hotel

The staff at the front desk and cafe were amazing. The room is nice and spacious but outdated. They provide shampoo/ conditioner, body wash, and lotion but the cleaning staff didn’t refill the conditioner and lotion.

Mattress is low quality and air conditioning is poor quality windows unit. No bath tub

We had our kids and grand kids with us. The rooms around us and hall ways smelled horrible of weed- marijuana. To go to sleep and wake up with the smell was not at all a pleasant experience. Will think twice about staying again

Stayed there for a night. Also enjoyed the breakfast at the Resturant inside the hotel. Hotel staff was friendly and helpful.
