Friendly staff, super clean, quiet and NEW. Confident to the train station. Area is in transition, so there are lots of homeless people in the area. Heavy police presence, so i felt safe there. Would definitely stay again

If you have to stay in the Bronx then this is a decent option. Clean and staff was efficient and nice. Just little things turned me off about the property, like how the blanket on the bed was basically a thin top sheet and the squire bottles in the bathroom were dirty and hard to use. Other than that affordable and clean place to lay head

We originally booked a stay at the melrose but ended up getting upgraded to a suite at the hotel next door (The Opera House Hotel) it was really nice and clean and affordable!

This was close to the venue I attended in the Bronx It was clean a variety of foods Dunkin’ Donuts Burger King lMexican,Chinese and bodega. You have to beware of where you’re at. But overall I enjoy the hotel. I gave a 4 stars because they didn’t vacuum the elevator it may sound petty but the appearance of the elevator bought it down a star.

The staff was friendly every day! There were so many options for shopping and eating! The streets were normal New York streets (begging, urine smell, loud). If you don’t mind that then you will be fine! We found that it was super convenient to ride the subway from our location! It was about a 3 min walk to the subway!

Clean room and a balcony on 7th floor. It was awesome and I would like to stay there again

New property, very clean and sleek. Limited guest services: no coffee maker in the room. The neighborhood is commercially vibrant but there was an unconscious person on the street each day of the stay.

La chica de la recepcion un trato excelente super amable, atenta y buena actitud los cuartos limpios, amplios, camas comodas y nuevas. En general el lugar esta nuevo y bonito. La calle y el sector no es el ideal para ir de turista pero nosotros salimos a tomar vuelo a las 3 am y esta seguro.

Melrose is a lovely hotel, altho the area isnt the greatest, transportation is close and theres shopping areas

Place is a joke. Postage stamp size room cramped even for one person. No refrigerator despite what the website says. No full length mirror. Certainly don't expect room service at this 'hotel'; barely bare minimum. Horrible local area. Streets stinking of urine loaded with roaming homeless people. NO parking. Good luck.
