Room was amazing, warm and comfortable. Staff were exceptionally welcoming.

Excellent staff- very helpful

The room was tidy but showing some wear. The bathroom window for example was broken. Wish there had been a better wardrobe but they did their best with the space. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was included and generous meals. The coffee could have been hotter and latte’s etc not included which I found a bit odd. You could have whatever food you wanted but not hot/frothed milk. Nailsworth itself was quiet. We didn’t realise so much would be shut on a Monday but we made the best of it.

The room was very comfy, spacious and very clean. Proper coffee machine in the room was nice.

The room was in the 2nd floor and we had a baby with us. Having to carry the baby and all the belongings up and down 2 flights of stairs wasn’t appropriate. The restaurant was down another flight of stairs and having to carry the pram up and down these stairs wasn’t app either. The restaurant didn’t have high chairs and I had to feel my baby while he was sat in in his pram.

Nice staff, very good food

Rooms nice but stay ruined by slamming doors and difficult to close doors (causing slamming). It’s unavoidable to slam the door and because there’s no real soundproofing, it’s a difficult place to get proper rest if desired. Also scandalously, my mother was fined for dropping me off, despite inputting her number plate. User error? Faulty system? Either way, it’s a terrible way to treat your guests. Even after disputing the claim it was upheld with a minimised fee of £20, which is progress but insulting as a guest.

The staff were very accommodating, the room was as shown on the website. The bar/restaurant was nicely appointed and had a very nice vibe, we didn't eat a meal but had coffee and dessert. The only thing we didn't like was that the floor sloped in our room, making the head of the bed lower than the foot, which was not comfortable; raising the headboard end of the bed would fix this problem easily.

The room was beautiful with gorgeous fixtures and ammenities. The staff were amazing! Everybody was friendly and helpful and kind. The housekeeping staff had such positive energy and were an absolute delight, giving me lots of wonderful recommendations for local restaurants and things to do and see around the area. On check out Sharissa was also extremely helpful and generous with her time as I had a few issues with my hire car booking which she assisted me with. The lovely young gentleman waiter at dinner was very sweet also. I can only assume there is an excellent manager on site as the whole hotel had such a positive energy. The free parking onsite was fabulous too Thank you for a wonderful stay!

I am old and had travelled up from Devon. I could not manage the stairs. I did ascend once but felt quite poorly. The young man who escorted me was polite but unsure of what to do. I asked for a room on the ground/first floor but nio availability. I was left for half an hour, in the delightful room, before I phoned and asked what was happening. Nothing was!! No other room, so I asked for my bill( £186) paid, and left, feeling exhsusted at having to drive home late, to Cambridveshire. The staff were polite but not very sympathetic. I appreciate I should not have forgotten to ask for a lower floir room but feel that staff at this hotel should let people know when a room is up 4 fligjts of stairs, at the end of the corridor

Ok. Busy. Quiet. Nice surroundings. Good good.

Overall it was a lovely stay there, a place full of character, very well located. Good carpark facilities with few EV chargers. Great restaurant and bar with lovely outdoor area, apart from the point where the stream comes to the mill. It needs TLC because the rubbish clutters there and is not nice to see. We had a very enjoyable afternoon in the outdoor area. The room was lovely full of character, with lower beams and plenty warnings about not banging our heads. It was clean and the bed very comfortable. Unfortunately, we were just above the party room without any warning about it. We had to listen the the singer for a while probably until 11 PM. It wasn't a disaster, but we would had preferred a heads up like other hotels have done to arrange our plans around it.

The stay started perfectly with reception doing all she could (slim, very long dark hair, very friendly) to allow me into my room early. The room was just as pictured and perfect for this break. Great extras in tge room including cookies and coffee machine. The bar and food service was good and just as friendly.

The hotel is beautiful and in a great location with a lot of shops and restaurants close by. The bed and pillows were comfortable. We stayed in a room on the top floor of the mill, it was a picturesque room, it was a bit hot at night but they had a ventilator to cool it down. The food at the restaurant was amazing! Great chef, delicious breakfast and dinners.

Staff were very welcoming and relieved the stress from a very long journey. Room was lovely and had been recently renovated. Bathroom was excellent and the setting in general was beautiful being right on the river. Likely won't be back to the area until the same time next year, but won't bother looking at other hotels if the price is reasonable. Can't comment on food as we arrived late and left early, but the restaurant had a nice ambiance.
