Great hotel and location - the staff were amazing (Lucas at the bar in the evening ) breakfast team - BUT as we said whilst there - we had a premium room on the front room 12 (amazing location) yet we had a light missing (left side of bed as you look at the bed) and a led light in the bathroom above the mirror - we had an amazing time and as business owner I know home challenging things can be and i want you to succeed so we can visit again Please do one thing - train your staff (I know that is also a challenge) to do the basics better and we will be back We wish you a happy a successful summer

The hotel was spotless, the rooms and bar area were fabulous and the staff were so friendly.

Fantastic place to stay. Close to the beach shops and Theatre. Breakfast is freshly made to order and the staff are extremely helpful. Would thoroughly recommend.

The Fig Tree Hotel was set near to popular coastal amenities and the old Shanklin village with its thanked cottage charm. A conveniently central position for beach and countryside, betwixt Carisbrooke Castle and Osbourne House. My room and facilities were of a good standard and breakfast, which was hearty, set the day off well. Thank you Staff at Fig Tree. PW

A modern and exceptionally clean hotel. The breakfast is excellent. With beach and old town mins away we were disappointed to find that we needed to use the car as hotel situated on the top of a hill. Buses and taxis were available and we would stay there again.

Perfect in every way, even down to the smell of the hotel. Would highly recommend and would definitely stay again

Had a great stay at the Fig Tree, Lucas and Heather were really helpful, we needed to have oxygen delivered for my husband which was no problem, unfortunately the TV wasn’t working but they immediately moved us into a better room and were very accommodating, the breakfast was excellent and I would definitely visit again

Probably the nicest smelling hotel I’ve been in in a long time - it was lovely. It was VERY hot in the room, with just a pedestal fan, but it was during an exceptionally hot heatwave and we booked knowing that there was no A/C so we can’t complain. I would stay again in a heartbeat if we are back in the area.

Managed to upgrade our room to a studio suite and it was perfect. We had a lovely partial sea view with a balcony so sat out there for our coffee in the morning. The room was lovely and spacious and the kitchen area was an added bonus. A lovely huge bathroom with shower. The hotel was clean and well maintained and the staff were very friendly. Breakfast was also great and the location was good, easy enough to walk into town, even with some mobility issues and close to the beach. Also many buses running so you can get around easily even if you don’t have a car.

It would be great if you could anticipate the opening of the breakfast at 7.30

Staff were great and hotel clean. Breakfast was too late. Started 08:00 and they don’t do evening meals. Other than that, it was really good

Amazing hotel, one of the best we have stayed at in the UK. The decor throughout was lovely including the bar area which we thoroughly enjoyed using in the evening. Monday night was especially good with an open mic night. It was fascinating to listen to all the musicians and lovely to meet such a friendly group of people. Breakfast was excellent and all the staff were very helpful and friendly. The position of the hotel is ideal for the beach and the town. We will definitely stay here again when we return to the Isle of Wight.

We really enjoyed our stay. Plenty of parking. The staff were always helpful and friendly. Accommodation was clean and well presented. We would definitely stay again and can recommend as a great stay in Shanklin

Reported toilet not flushing before we went out for dinner, staff said they would fix it while we were out, come back not fixed had to phone again they tried again unsuccessfully and only then offered different room this was 9 o'clock in the evening. Think this could have been handled net
