Delusions of grandeur. A very small room with barely enough room to open a suitcase, slightly shabby decor. So many cushions on the bed that when you removed them they took up most of the available floor space! Bathroom ok but nowhere to put toiletries. Dinner ok, but nothing special. It was all “ok” but disappointing compared to the hype on the website.

Hotel room was on the small side but the breakfast was very good.

£7 + for a pint of bitter. £40 + for steak and chips. Sleep here but eat elsewhere. I declined breakfast when told it was £30 regardless of how much you eat, I only have a boiled egg and toast in the morning.

Room very comfortable with large bathroom. However the floorboards between end of bed and the steps into the bathroom are very noisy.
