The hotel is very traditional in style with the most charming staff (? owners.) As a solo woman traveller I appreciated that the area felt safe, although the main road is a little noisy. It’s easy to walk from the train station along the canal & everything I wanted to see was also walkable.

We loved our stay. We wanted somewhere with a bit of French charm and Hotel Montsegur was perfect. The owner was really friendly and welcoming, the room really comfy and clean, and the whole place has lots of character. There’s easy parking in a gated car park in front of the hotel, lots of bars and restaurants nearby, and the Old City is around a 20 minute walk away. We’d definitely stay again.

Das Personal war sehr freundlich und sehr hilfsbereit. Die Lage war gut, man kam schnell und einfach mit dem Bus zur Burg Die Zimmer sind sehr klein, das Frühstückbüffet im Vergleich zu den anderen Hotels eher unterdurchschnittlich, dafür ist der Preis tief

We really enjoyed our stay. We had a family room with separate bedrooms and bathrooms for the parents versus children. It is a traditional hotel and everyone was so friendly. There is secure parking up front. One can walk to the main place and shops easily.

Owner operator was very pleasant. The hotel was dated but clean. The recommendation on the restaurant was not a very good one. Other than that it was fine for the price the bed was comfortable and I did like the pillows.

The hotel is just outside of Carcassonne and in perfect walking distance to the old city. The hosts were very attentive and the rooms were clean and comfortable.

Friendly helpful staff. Very close to shuttle bus stop. Good breakfast.

L'accueil des propriétaires, leur soucie du détail dans tous ce qu'ils font (ordre, propreté, finition des chambres et de l'hôtel, etc). rien ne nous a déplu dans cet hôtel.

Séjour en famille. Hôte très prévenant. Hôtel très calme qui a une âme. La bâtisse est très belle. L intérieur est aménagé comme autrefois avec des meubles anciens en bois de la moquette....notre séjour a été fort agréable.

Accueil agréable et aimable. Changement de chambre suite du problème avec le clim. Petits-déjeuners copieux. Bon protection contre Covid19.

Our experience of Carcassonne was not what we had hoped mostly due to the torrential rain that made sight seeing impossible. Also, we could not find anywhere for a meal until after 7pm. At the hotel, the room was pretty squashy and nowhere to sit comfortably. There was a dining table downstairs but no lounge or bar area. Hot water was great, bed was ok and breakfast was adequate. The owner was very hospitable and accommodating where possible. Parking the car was a dream as the hotel has it’s own carpark.k

Very good experience in every way! Very pleasant and helpful staff, good location and very comfortable.
