This posh B and B was everything we hoped for. From the complimentary drink on arrival to the luxurious room with comfy bed, selection or teas/coffee machine and homemade shortbread biscuits. It was an extremely hot weekend and the air conditioning in our room was so welcomed. We had an evening meal there and attention to details was excellent. Staff throughout our stay were very kind, helpful and attentive. We would thoroughly recommend a stay at Byfords and hope to return again. Forgot to mention the selection for breakfast was excellent too and plates were large and full for all cooked items on the menu. They beat us!!

Very comfortable, newly refurbished room- we stayed in number 7. Aircon was great during the heatwave! The food and service were also really good. Would recommend. Only niggles: - the fridge in the room wasn’t very cold - the Nespresso machine was a bit dodgy - the fire door which drunken guest come back in through at 3am bangs rather loudly But they are niggles- all in all very comfortable and worth the (slightly expensive) price

Amazing hotel. Very well trained staff. The hotel had great history. Excellent dining options in the evening at great prices. Breakfast was either a light meal, included in the price or for those that need something substantial a great menu to choose from. We will definitely go again

Lovely and convenient place to stay. Unfortunately we were in the top room where the ceilings/ beams are very low so room didn’t feel ‘deluxe’ as advertised. Also my husband banged his head in the night on the beams (he’s on 5’ 9’.

Beautiful room (we stayed in 15) loved the complimentary drink in the bar and delicious cookies in the evening. Super comfy bed and pillows. Gorgeous bathroom with huge bath and shower. The breakfast was incredible, I went for the frittata which was delicious and filling my husband the full Byford. Would definitely plan on returning soon.

Very clean and well fitted out. Lots of nice touches, the cookies on the stairs well were super. The guess lounge was a nice space to grab a drink. Checking in was very slow for us. I would re-visit

Amazing stay! From the gentleman at check in, to the room to staff at breakfast, everything was superb. Hotel is really really lovely, our room was very comfortable, clean and well appointed. Lovely touch having ice cold water and fresh milk in the mini fridge as well for tea and coffee. Bed was super comfortable. Breakfast was simply amazing - all complimentary, food was of a very high standard and staff couldn't do enough for you. Even on check out, the gentleman remembered why we were there and enquired as to how the wedding we attended was. The attention to little details far surpassed our expectations and we would stay here again without a shadow of a doubt. Worth every penny!

Room was clean, well appointed, a bit tight in places, but we knew that, it was in the loft eaves after all, clothes storage would have been a problem if we were staying longer as limited hanging space. otherwise Byfords has always been a great place to stay.

Had another wonderful stay. Been to stay before and this didn’t disappoint. Staff very helpful and friendly. Room clean and comfortable. Food as usual excellent. Well done Byfords Team.

Efficient air conditioning, very comfy bed and pillows, plenty of hot water and good shower. Bath plug in Room 7 needs some attention - slowly let the water out of my bath as didn't fit securely enough! Excellent breakfast
