Room stank of smoke ; black hairs in the bed . Asked for another room which was marginally better but still not clean or fit for purpose. Avoid based on our experience awful .

Bed was uncomfortable, toilet seat was broken, plumbing issue in bathroom kept us awake all night and armchair was very worn and dirty. There was a lot of rubbish outside the premises and there was a rat running round near the bins! Will not be going back.

Friendly staff, lovely clean spacious room.

Good value, cant expect much more the very cheap price. Staff were accomodating to requests, rooms were clean and beds were comfortable. Would stay here again.

Where to start.! The service was appalling, rude and disorganised staff. The minute you walked it it looked and smelt horrendous.! Walking to our room one of the ceilings started falling. In the room it was freezing cold in winter. It’s smelt damp and of urine.! The room itself was extremely dirty and rundown. The bathroom was falling apart, mouldy and dirt stains over the sides and bath. Shower curtain stained and mouldy. When we got in bed, the mattress was rock hard, 3 pillows between 2 of us. The sheets were as stiff as they had t been washed since being made. Then we started itching and then noticed black bits then realised it’s was bed bugs. We were in the room less than an hour and decided to sleep in the car after that.! Avoid at all costs!

Stayed again for business purposes and no faults. Lovely room, lovely polite staff and great food. Nothing to complain about, all was pleasant

Brilliant. Nothing to fault and it exceeded my expectations. I would prefer to stay here than a premier inn/travelodge. The food was better than excellent, the staff were friendly, patient and polite. Very efficient and no negative feedback or comments. The room was a tad chilly when I first got in and wasn’t too sure how to warm it up, but figured out in the end and it was lovely. Would recommend to everyone. Thank you for having me and I look forward to staying again.

The rooms are big ,very clean really comfy beds,the staff are really nice cant wait to stop again

Matresses were very cheap and uncomfortable ,bath had ill fitting plug so bathwater did not stay in the tub ,shower had little to no pressure , breakfast was awful no real bacon ,beans and hash browns were luke warm at best.

Price was good, room cleanliness and staff were good. BUT bed comfort was appalling absolutely terrible. Mattresses was all springs which cut into you and were noisy and could be felt the whole night. The pillows were also terrible (about 2 cm thick). If they invested in new beds it would have been great.

Room was ok but bathroom was grim ,mouldy and limescale over taps and showerhead. Woken up at 05.50 by someones child shouting this went on til.nearly 8am.

This Hotel keeps improving. The owners are certainly working hard. As with each of my stays hear, the room was clean, included tea and coffee, hairdryer, free Wi-Fi and plenty of channels on the TV. Water is hot and the luxury of a heated towel rail. Breakfast is much improved. Food is now available in the evenings. The menu is not large but the food was excellent and very well presented, the best meal I have had eating out in a long time. Three courses and a can of soft drink for under £20. I can certainly recommend the food and I am looking forward to my next stay.

The hotel is run down and missing some of the amenities that are advertised. For example, there was no iron in the room and the bar and restaurant were both closed when I arrived at 9pm. The receptionist tried to charge me for breakfast that I had already paid for and I then had to ask to move rooms due to flying insects in the bathroom in my original room. The whole place had a feeling of having been abandoned and I did not feel at all comfortable. The towels and bedding were clean but other areas felt grubby and in need of re-decorating. The WiFi was poor quality and I did not see a single member of staff at breakfast or check out. It may be cheap but it's not good value. I would never choose to stay here again.

Television didnt work and there was no hot water. Dont book this hotel. Not the two young persons fault on reception but they couldnt help
