Gros problème d’insonorisation. Nous entendions absolument tout ce qu’il se passait dans le couloir, notamment toutes les arrivées. Nous étions réveillés tous les jours vers 8h30. Nous entendions également les bruits des voisins : utilisation de la douche, rangement avec le bruit des cintres dans l’armoire, etc. Inondation de la salle de bain dès que nous l’utilisions. Assez pénible de devoir marcher dans l’eau pour aller aux toilettes. Autre point négatif : le bruit lorsque la lumière de la salle de bain est allumée est très fort et donc particulièrement désagréable. Règle stricte : aucun bruit après 20h. Sinon c’est la fin pour vous ! Point positif toutefois : Le personnel essaye de répondre au maximum aux demandes (fer à repasser, serviettes supplémentaires, etc.), fait des efforts pour parler français et reconnaît ses erreurs.

Very good location. Near Sol station and plaza. Lots of restaurants, shopping and sightseeing all within 15 ‘mins walk. lovely private room with a balcony. Kitchen area with coffee machine and microwave to make own food. Very clean. Terrific friendly staff. Really glad I chose this hotel. Will definitely stay again.

La habitación limpia y con todo lo necesario además de confortable. El personal muy amable, a destacar que pudimos dejas las maletas en el hostal tanto antes del check in como después del check out y es muy de agradecer. También un detalle muy bueno es que podías tomar café y agua en un pequeño comedor totalmente gratis. Destacar también la ubicación, en el centro y muy cerca de todo, Puerta del Sol, Plaza Mayor, calles comerciales y Gran Vía … Sin duda volveremos a este hostal cuando vuelva a Madrid

Great place to stay at a great location. At the very center of Madrid and very quiet (I had an internal room). Close to everything.| The room was great, looks new, clean and well maintained. Staff is great and friendly. There is a central dining area with courtesy water and snacks. The small thing that I would improve is that they give tiny bags of soap and shampoo, which is a bit of a hassle to deal with (on my last night they forgot to put new ones), instead of having a refillable bottle as in most places today.

Rooms are totally renovated, clean. Staff courteous and willing to help with questions or directions. Help call for taxi. Hostel was in center of madrid. Easy walk to main places and museums. Would recommend 👌

Very conveniently located in central Madrid - all local sites walkable. Area around hotel is a little seedy, but not bad - there are a lot worse areas in Madrid. There is a great variety of restaurants and bars in the area.

Squeaky clean,ship shape hostel room with private bathroom proved perfect for our quick stay in Madrid. Has everything you need in small space. Very helpful and friendly staff went to great lengths to make us comfortable. Neighborhood has sights and sounds and tons of cafes but simple quiet and clean haven upstairs.

I stayed at Hostal Royal Cruz for 3 nights during my recent trip to Madrid, and I was very impressed. The location is unbeatable — you’re just a short walk from Puerta del Sol, Plaza Mayor, tons of shops, restaurants, and public transport. Despite being in the center, the room was quiet enough if you don’t get a street-facing window. The room was spotless every day; the bathroom was modern, shower had good pressure, bed was comfortable. The small extras really stood out: free Wi-Fi, complimentary water, tea, coffee & snacks available all day, and they even had a little kitchen area for heating something up. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful — from recommending places to visit to answering questions. For what you pay, this hostal offers outstanding value. If anything, the only minor issue was noise from street traffic when windows were open, but that’s common in central Madrid and didn’t spoil the stay. Overall, highly recommended. I’d definitely stay here again next time I’m in Madrid.

Siisti hotelli todella erinomasella sijainnilla. Lähes kaikkialle pääsee kävellen. Vaikka pieni katu ikkunan alla oli vilkas iltaisin ja öisin, niin meteli ei kuulunut kuin hyvin vähän 4. kerrokseen. Olimme täällä lokakuussa 2025 ja hotelli oli kuin juuri remontoitu ja erittäin siisti ja puhdas. Siivous oli erinomaista. Kahvitilassa oli mukava juoda aamukahvi ennen aamupalalle lähtöä. Henkilökunta erittäin mukavaa ja avuliasta. Pyysimme aamulla taksin tilauksen (koska se oli halvempi kuin Bolt ta Uber) ja receptionin mies tuli kadulle varmistamaan, että taksi tuli +++ Ainoa miinus on, että huone oli todella pieni eli jos on paljon matkatavaroota tai vaikea liikkua, niin huone voi olla liian pieni. Kokonaisuutena olimme hyvin tyytyväisiä.
