The Temperance is an old hotel that has been recently renovated to retain its historic flavour but with with all the modern conveniences you would want (including A/C and laundry facilities). We were staying in the suite with two bedrooms and a full kitchen and it was perfect. Ladysmith is a very quaint town with lots of restaurants and local attractions and the Temperance is right in the middle of it all. We had a wonderful vacation and the Temperance was a big reason for it! Parking was no problem - there is a lot across the street from the hotel and we never had any trouble finding spots there, even in the middle of the "Ladysmith Days" festival over the weekend.

This is the second time we have Stayed at the Temperance Hotel and the same room, #4. Such a wonderful place. Just feels cozy. Nice to relax then wander on foot through the town of Ladysmith. Cannot recommend this hotel enough. Yes, we plan on returning again.

Staying here was a wonderful experience! Beautifully done suite, the owners were very helpful, right in the center of town. Staying there was a real Joy.

The room was exceptional. The decor was so amazing we didn't want to go out. Everything you would need was provided to ensure a perfect stay.

This was one of the best stays that I have ever had. The location, the space, the kitchen, the easy check-in everything was perfect.

We enjoyed our stay. Communication was excellent with recommendations for activities and restaurants in the area. The place had everything we needing including access to laundry. Most of all our host was fabulous when we needed to extend our stay an extra day. Parking is on the street but we didn’t have any issues with finding a spot.
