Innkeeper was friendly and helpful at check in. Motel is small and showing its age. Exterior entrance door featured a wood block addition apparently to repair a prior forced entry. The advertised lake view out of the back entry door is blocked by the owner’s expansion into large tent units. Staying here was okay but humbling.

Cleanliness should be improved a lot for both the room and the bathroom. The room was not vaccumed properly before we checked in as we could feel dirt in our feet while walking inside the room. The bath mat was very dirty as well, I decided to wear sandal while taking shower.

The staff were very friendly. The property could use a lot of updating. The cleaning left a lot to be desired.

this is a first class, unique establishment. The motel is clean, rooms spacious, amenities as expected. Bed was comfy, shower had lots of hot water and pressure. The staff was attentive, friendly, and accommodating. They are expanding with dome glamping units!

Bad customer service

The room we received was in terrible condition. It did have a microwave, fridge and coffee maker. An extremely old motel in need of serious upgrades.

This motel is a good choice. The view is amazing. I loved that there were tables, chairs and a fire pit outside to enjoy the scenery. The beds were okay, not the best, but nowhere near as bad as some other motels. Although the place is old, it feels like there’s investments made in it, with the new heat pump and television. There was a whole in the wall next to the bath though, and there’s still some things that could be renovated. I would stay there again.

Everything was great! I was doing the Cabot Trail in early season and were happy they were open, friendly and right by the Tim Hortons! I had a nice stay and the shower head was great. WiFi worked too.

Rooms were very dirty. The bathtub doesn’t drain. I would not stay here again.

We had booked in to the Baddeck Domes for our stay but they were not finished being built. This was very disappointing for us. The owner made it right by giving us a full refund for the Domes. We then stayed in the Baddeck motel. The room was tiny, there was mold on the curtains, but the beds were clean and comfortable enough. It looks like they may be doing some renovations on the motel. The staff was the best part of the stay.

Place was ok to stay but towels smelled and did not smell fresh. I dont know if the washing machine is bad or what.

Room was nice, great view, very clean, definitely on the list to stay again.
