One of the best hotels I've stayed in my life. The customer service is outstanding. The hotel is beautiful, with a balance of colonial style and modern design in the rooms. The best of two worlds. The location is perfect, exactly between the main avenue and the old city. And finally, the breakfast is amazing.

Beautiful historic building with renovated rooms with a minimalist style combining heritage and modernity. Keycode access to the room is very convenient,. Breakfast was nice - abundant options in a tranquil dining room. Still and sparkling water, coffee and fruit are available at all hours. Pity the wine machine in the library and the rooftop bar weren't operating. But I recommend Vinoteca de la Colonia around the corner for a wine tasting. I would suggest adding somewhere to hang the hand towel closer to the sink, and a sofa to relax on (the room has space for it).

The hotel is very confortable and very well located !

We were put in a room that was basically IN the lobby and didn’t have windows. We selected a deluxe room. Was very noisy at night with people congregating in the lobby. Hotels wine machine didn’t work and they weren’t able to sell us a bottle or glass. Location is good (but next time I would skip colonia - not much going on there) and nice they have a nice coffee and water machine available all day for guests.

Well located, really nice hôtel. I would probably still book the same hotel, the only 2 downsides of my stay were the weak internet/wifi connection, and the soundproofing of the room, while being aware soundproofing an heritage building can be challenging if not impossible without altering the charm.

O quarto é limpo, confortável e o prédio do hotel é muito bonito. Senti falta de um frigobar no quarto Alem disso, se ouve muito os barulhos externos, p. ex. pessoas caminhando no corredor. De modo geral, gostamos e recomendamos.

The hotel is small and intimate. As the house is a renovated historic one it can be noisy as doors have automatic locks and the sound insulation is poor. Staff are helpful and the hotel’s position in the old time is a good one.

The room was classic yet the room was modern and almost rustic. The room was quite spacious and very comfortable. The hotel is in a great location in the old town.

The house is an historic mansion that has been modernized but kept all the charm of the past. The ceilings in the lobby are at least 15 feet high! Our room was big and had huge windows on both sides, which was beautiful. A suggestion to the management: put blackout shades on the window side that gets the morning sun. It gets light early in summer. The location is very convenient being in the historic area. There are loads of good restaurants within a 10 minute walk. Some tips: the streets are paved with cobblestone and the sidewalks rough, so pulling luggage from the bus station or ferry terminal can be challenging. It can also be noisy at night with music and shows located nearby. They provide a free shuttle to a sister property that has a pool, winery, and restaurant. We spent a hot afternoon there lounging by the pool. Shoutout to Paulo, who speaks excellent English, for arranging our taxi and visit to Finca del Sacramento.
