Avoid!!! Such a waste of time and money. The room had a bad smell (as the entire building), stains in the carpet and on the walls. Nothing was clean. We needed to leave immediately after 10mins. Moreover, the hotel manager and staff online wasn’t helpful at all. They didn’t even get back to us with a refund. Like it looks from the outside, definitely needs a full restoration.

£50 room . So don’t expect luxury but was the only option and location is great. Only issue was thin walls impacting my sleep quality ( my children were fine) - 3 lads decided to say up and chat in their room from 1am to 5am literally …..

The property was just across the road from the sea. We had great views from our 3rd room floor. The outside look bedraggled with peeling paint. The entrance was sparse but clean , and smelt nice . Initially there was nobody to book us in . A member of staff just happened to come in and book us in. We had help with the door access codes. Booking in was easy. The rest of the hotel carpets, that we experienced, were extremely dirty and sticky underfoot. The water in the shower cut out before reaching temperature. There was no water for a shower . Both, mid evening, late night and early morning. There was no information in our room to speak to anyone. Tea cups were dirty and had to be washed before using. There was no evidence of staff on duty apart from soon after we arrived . All very strange

After a poor start we were given a nice room overlooking the sea only downside ther is a pub directly at the back of the property bit noisy at times the outside at the moment is shabby looking .we didnt have room service as it was five pounds per day the pricepoint was ok for what you got.needs alot of updating carpets really shabby need replacing management helpful except we requested clean towels there where two in the room we finally got them on thursday we also paid fifty pounds as a bond against damages we havent received that back all in all not a very good stay very basic and sometimes the water was hot sometimes not wouldnt stay again

The staff were pleasant and helpful. The hotel is situated a few yards away from the seafront. Close to convenience shops, pub and launderette, less than 10 minutes to the town centre.

Phone number on greeting , then met by mrmbef of staff , could do with a lick of paint lower half of front of house as im guessing directly opposite besch pai t gets battered by wind ,but first impressions wasnt great . My room was lovely location wss great and staff when i ohoned and met them were great

Upon arrive need to WhatsApp the hotel to get your room access code. The hotel did not answer for over an hour. Eventually had to get Expedia customer service involved. Shower door was off its hinges and continued to come off with each use. Shower only worked when running the sink tap. Stains on sheets and pillow cases

Lovely sea view from the room. Ceiling fan and fridge was a very welcome addition to the room. Room itself was ok. Bathroom initially didnt smell great, but seemed to improve with use. No shower mat, and impossible to get the shower going without soaking the bathroom. Combined sink and toilet were ‘loose’ and can be rocked (not attached to the wall / floor properly). Bed not very comfortable and pillows odd. Huge as they had 2 pillows stuffed into one case? Spare pillows in the wardrobe but no cases on them? Windows had low ledges with the safety catch completely detached on both windows. Very easy to lean out and potentially fall 2 floors to the pavement. Need to be openable but not where you can fall out. Def not child friendly Well located for the beach, town, restaurants etc. Have stayed in many hotels in Eastbourne and this was probably the worst. Not that cheap either.

Clean room, will stay again on my next visit

Lovely room looking over the sea with great views. Clean and comfortable bed and bathroom, though a slightly strange smell coming from behind the bathroom sink.. wouldn’t put me off staying again though! The outside of the hotel is in need of repair and redecoration, but the inside was good so that was the most important part! Found some free parking about 5 min walk away so that was a bonus. There are no onsite reception staff so have to contact by WhatsApp. Once we got the hang of it, it was easy, they responded quickly.

Bed was broken but still very comfortable. There was a terrible smell in the bathroom. The room was otherwise clean and the view to due for.

I just needed somewhere to crash before setting off at 4am for a hike. Map took me to the wrong location, no one answered the door or phone. A local neighbour saw me pacing up and down and asked if I had the misfortune of booking this hotel and kindly showed me where it was (not where the map took me - but a block away). No one on front desk. No one answering either of the 2 phone numbers. Myself and another guest were not sure what was going on but after non-stop ringing for about a half hour if not longer (?) a man answered and within 10 min did send me the door code. So over 40 min to check in to an empty hotel. Room was so hot so window was open, which was next to a thumping loud pub. There was a fan in the room but since they'd left the window open and theres no screen, flies had come in. Tried to open the door to let them out but no joy. TV seemed like it was about to fall off the wall. Place felt quite dirty. Bed not comfy. When I asked to change rooms due to noise and having explained the purpose of my stay was to wake up extremely early for a hike- I was just completely ignored. (Kindly note, I had called during the week and explained this in advance to make sure the room was appropriate and the check in wouldn't be an issue since it would take me nearly 3 hours to travel to get there after work- so arriving to find it was not at all suitable was disappointing). Finally loud pub closed, then very loud drunk neighbours arrived. Was super cheap, this is why.

No person in attendance if you had trouble accessing your room. It is really a ‘backpackers’ stay over. Not what I would expect from a hotel. Pay extra to have room made up? My TV receiver was stuck to the window with blue tack! One towel not even a hand towel and a basin in the shower room in which you couldn’t wash your hands without soaking toilet seat and floor. It really was minimalistic, managed because really only needed a bed as was working at the tennis but wouldn’t use it to holiday in Eastbourne. Whilst there the lack of a receptionist meant newcomers struggled to access their rooms and a bunch of young men came in to help. How secure are the rooms? Front door open permanently but no one in charge most of the time.

Very nice room - spacious and had air conditioning as well as lovely decor.

Excellent for the price. Because of a problem with the door lock, I was given a bigger room

Hotel looks very dated, room looked slightly better, but still in need of repairs. Nobody at reception to do check in, they send a message asking to provide ID copy through WhatsApp and then give you access codes to hotel and room. Hot and cold water hit and miss, took verylong time for hot water to run in the sink, shower opposite became hot water only very quickly, no cold water. Ok for one night stay, but wouldn't return.
