Filthy and completely unacceptable. Do not stay here. This place looks nothing like the photos. I understand older style motels, but there's no excuse for the level of filth here, old can still be clean, and this absolutely wasn't. The room clearly hasn't had a proper clean in a long time. There was heavy build up of grime and dust around the base of the toilet, and the shower hadn't been cleaned at all, hair throughout the recess and visible grime in the grout. The recess was damp when I checked in, as though some one had showered and left before I arrived. The fridge was also in poor condition, with spills and residue that hadn't been wiped out for quite some time. Even the front of the TV and microwave had marks and splatters on them. Coffee and tea was on offer but no coffee or teacups? The only positive was that the linen appeared clean, which I made sure to check. The setup of the room is also impractical, the TV faced the opposite wall, not the bed, so you're forced to sit on an uncomfortabel chair to watch it. The only window is the beside the door which faced into a small common courtyard. If you had your curtain open, the room opposite or people walking past can see straight into yours. No bedside table either. I spoke with other guests in passing during my stay, and they shared the same experience. And the kicker is, this cost me $157 a night! If you are looking for a clean budget friendly option go to Crescent Motel or Marco Polo, much better!

Parking excellent, staff very accomodating and polite, bedding vey comfortable and frshly cleaned. I will come sgain.

Close to the train snd shops

Værelset vi havde booket var som en fængselscelle og med en jernseng, som larmede voldsomt meget. Vi fik opgraderet til et meget større værelse med terrasse og en meget større seng for 20 dollars. Morgenmaden var alt for simpel - ingen yoghurt, æg eller feigt. Desuden var borde og bænke udenfor ikke blevet tørret af o meget lang tid, hvilket den søde receptionist prøvede at gøre med en sprayflaske og køkkenrulle, hvilket ikke blev særlig godt.

When we arrived we were taken to a very small room which had a double. We asked for a bigger room as we were staying 3 nights it didn’t happen. We had to get the sheets removed as they were soiled. The room didn’t get serviced.Breakfast was basic cereal n toast.Staff we courteous

No butter or margarine for the Continental breakfast, limited options. Next to Zero hot water, i waited like the sign said to, the hot water never came. When the next door room folks arrived it was as if they were in my room when they spoke. I could probably hear them better than they could themselves. And no locomotive as pictured, the thing that sold ne in the first place. Nice guy the staff member, left feeling a sense of being a little cheated.

The staff were courteous. The room was clean and big enough for our stay of 3 people. The beds were comfortable and the showers were clean, hot and had abundant water flow. The complimentary continental breakfast was a pleasant surprise and suited our needs. The lodge was ideally situated within a short walk to shops and centre of town. Also plenty of parking spots available.

Room was clean, linen was clean, plenty of tea, coffee, milk etc but hot water was luke warm and the walls are very thin. I could hear eveything in the next door room!

Budget price, get what you pay for. Double rooms good for a quick overnighter passing thru. I stay here a few times a year. This visit i was upgraded to a family room, appreciated.

I cannot fault the Staff & Management at the Railway Lodge Motel Taree. They have bent over backwards to ensure my stay was enjoyable. All cudos to them. I can certainly highly recommend ☺️.
