Bargain accomodation for a single night on our road trip with the pup.
Interior of the room looked recently freshened up with new paint. Clean & comfortable with all the things we needed for a good nights sleep. Caretakers/cleaners are clearly doing a great job.
Walking distance to McDonalds & a few cafes & a nice park by the river where the Aboriginal art works are on the bridge pylons.
The only things that detract are the pool & bbq area was in disrepair. Worth correcting or removing as it looks quite bad. The signage for the property is also covered by overgrown garden & wasn’t visible at night. We had our sat nav so just followed that but others could miss the property.
These things didn’t affect our stay though hence the 5* overall.

Like: rooms have been renovated, theyre nice and clean.
Dislike: mattress is like a bag of hay. TV doesnt register any chanel, even after retuning it, and my first thought thought when i pulled up was "oh... that car isnt registered. And that one has packaging tape covering the rear window. How budget is 'Budget'?

People should not be allowed to smoke right outside the rooms. Can’t say smoke free rooms when the doors have gaps and the guy next door smokes right outside your room every 30 minutes all night, not joking. In and out of the door and the smoke from him made my daughter and I unwell. Felt uncomfortable to say something as the reception also smelt of smoke.
