Lovely room in Colhurst House, clean and house very central to everything. Recommend!!

The room was spotless and the gentleman who checked us in was personable.

The staff were friendly and helpful. The room clean and comfortable. Easy parking and walkable to the shops, cafes and pubs.

Wicked spot to stay , we had a beautiful room with an excellent bathroom , nice comfortable bed , nothing like having a fire place in your bedroom on a cool night . In the morning even the birds didn’t wake us up so for all the people looking for comfort at a little more than a good motel room this is the spot .

A different kind of place to stay versus motels. Easy walking distance to pubs shops and restaurant.

Quaint stay in an old home but bring ear plugs for a good night’s sleep.

Beautiful room and bathroom suite. Bathroom incl beautiful big bath and all the amenities though shower pressure was terrible…just a dribble - partner thought it was due to occupant in another suite utilising HWS at same time perhaps … ? Bed was very comfy and we were warmly welcomed upon check in.

the room was too cold even with the heaters going, no comfortable chairs to sit on , huge bathroom but very uninviting and cold

Location is great; room was clean. But the house is tired looking and requires some TLC. Bedside tables were very unstable. Charm only lasts so long, chairs were covered with sheets vs proper slipcovers. Internet was unreliable.

This place was one of the best in our 33 days Australian road trip, the place was so charming, clean and full of character. We stayed in two rooms and both were fantastic, highly recommended!

Lovely old world accommodation. Bathroom modern in old style. Loved the big bath. No onsite reception so you need to remember to phone half an hour before arrival. We didn't have access to the email on the day to remind ourselves but they were still able to get someone to come quite quickly and he was really lovely about us not giving 1/2 hr notice. he also helped us up the stairs with our luggage, so that was nice. Plenty of power points available for an old house (powerboards). Kitchen downstairs if you needed to do food prep/brekky etc. Love our visit here. There is parking in a small court out the front or you can park behind the house, though this would be limited if all rooms were full. But enough parking between the court and the back of the house.

Wenig liebevoll eingerichtetes Haus

Strange property - we arrived to find a deserted house that we feared was abandoned! Then we got a text asking us to call when we were 39 mins away and someone would come to meet us - that would have been useful the day before! We were then greeted and given keys to the house and our room, which was lovely. You are very much on your own here but once we got used to that it was peaceful and comfortable. Our room had an amazing bathroom/spa in an extension that is bigger than many rooms. Would have been nice to have a few tables/chairs on the terrace at the front of the house as it is such a lovely spot.

Unique property dating back to late 1800’s combining very well original and modern features. We stayed in the “White Room” which was the size of our previous 2-3 accommodations put together where quality and cleanliness of the room could not be faulted. Very short walk to the town centre and one of the fascinating local sunken gardens. The town itself lacked a good variety of restaurants and many closed as both Sunday and Australia Day. The short drive to the Blue Lake and Umpherston Sinkhole more than made up for the culinary shortfalls of the area.
