Accommodating and great for traveling with dogs.

The facilities were good and staff helpful, and the room was clean and comfortable. An extra blanket to offset the cold evenings in winter would have been welcome.

As with a lot of accommodation in Mt Isa, we found that the staff we excellent and the room average and satisfactory.

We have stayed at 4th Avenue Motel before, both times coincidentally during Rodeo Week. Taking this into account I think the motel is good value for money. It is out of town so you need a car to get around. It is safe and secure and clean and the management is friendly. The room has that annoying feature that many motels in Mt Isa have, only one sink which doubles as a bathroom basin and for washing cups and dishes. This is one of my pet hates but is a design fault and cannot be attributed to a managing issue.

Fourth avenue was easy to find and provided a great base to do lots of things in Mt Isa.

Cosy motel room, a little dated but reasonably priced for an overnight stay. It had the facilities that we needed and was clean and comfortable. On arrival after a long drive was a lovely friendly face to greet us. Best thing was the nice pool as well as safe and convenient parking right outside our door. It was very quiet with no traffic noises for a good nights sleep but was still only a short drive to dinner in town at Buffs.

Stayed twice now staff very friendly rooms spotless , used laundry this time very clean and well priced machine/ drier. BBQ facility very clean and well appointed . Stay here you won't be disappointed

Our room was basic but clean ,staff very friendly , bed comfortable , great shower hot water and good pressure,motel looks old & western from outside but don't be put off,good location close to CBD . Only stayed 1 night but will book in again . Close to mine but no problem with noise. Good value

The young lady who manages this motel is a beautiful, generous and considerate person. Whilst this may not be a 5-star-type motel, the way it is run and the welcome guests receive goes way beyond what would be expected of any motel in Australia. They have a really beautiful swimming pool which is a pleasure to use. Comfort and privacy for guests is something she pays good attention to and nothing is too much trouble for her to do for her guests, no matter what it is. The units have a microwave and do not have a stove, but this is easily overcome by using their well-equipped barbecue area, which does have a stove cooktop as well as a really top-class barbecue. We had a 7-day stay there and were sad to be leaving when our time arrived. We would strongly recommend this motel for people to whom a personal, caring touch is important. We loved it so much there that we would not go anywhere else if we ever visited Mt. Isa again. If you want all these things and an excellent room price, please try this place. You won't be disappointed. We simply could not praise this place or its manager enough.
