Great value for the price. Sure, if you want 5 star luxury, this isn't for you - find somewhere else- at a lot higher price! Bedding clean and comfortable. Room clean though dated - but as you would expect. No noise problem - but no live music when i stayed, if there was music on i would probably be listening to it rather than trying to have an early quiet night. Loved lady at reception was really helpful ( I hadn't realised bookings were on line only ) All in all, if i need a cheap convenient place to stay in Mackay, I'll be back Thanks7

Stayed twice now. This is the best budget accommodation in Mackay. As long as you've got realistic expectations of a hotel at this price point, you will be nicely surprised by how good it actually is. The beds are comfortable, the air conditioners and the kettle work, and the showers are hot. How much more do you need? A centralised location? You can't get much more central than this. Pop outside, turn left and take 20 odd steps and you're right on the main drag with restaurants, Night Owl convenience, major banks, and a very nice public library with free wi-fi and power points. And the Greyhound intercity bus stop is just 3 blocks away.

It has probably got no maintenance in the last 60 years,it was like trying to sleep in a night club our room was beside the bar with a window we couldn't close and no sound proofing nothing good to say about it

Mold here and there on things, even on sheets, brown water from the tap that cleared after a minute but I still felt like it was not safe to use, noisy from the pub below, everything was shabby and in poor condition, but the AC, that was the only thing that worked well. Close to the public transport, so that was good for me. otherwise, it's a place for drunk people with low standards.

I couldn't believe there's no aircon in the room only one electric fan but it wasn't windy and cold at all It was so hot in that room and big music party outside so it was too hot and so damn noisy I checked in 7pm and I was ran away from this hotel at 12am cus so hot and I couldn't sleep at all

Meals where great and reasonably priced, staff where great, Main function areas where really well set out and pleasant. Rooms not up to par. Hot, tiles falling apart, windows rusted shut and just “Blah”
