Old and dated but good value for money

Room and bathroom/shower were clean. Very central location and good-sized parking spots.

Room was not aired sufficiently, heater was very noisy.

Stayed at the Peter Allen Motel and honestly, it was exactly what you’d expect for the price—cheap, but it shows. The room felt old, tired, and not particularly clean. It definitely hasn’t had any love in a long time. While I wasn’t expecting luxury, the condition of the place made it a bit uncomfortable. I’m also surprised by some of the higher-rated reviews—it’s hard to see how this place earns anything more than a 4, let alone glowing praise. If you’re after basic and budget, it does the job. Just don’t expect much else.

Very comfortable

This was a standard motel. We upgraded to a king bed room but the shower was covered in mild. I complained to the manager and he allowed us to move to a standard room. The room had a clean shower recess and the bed was comfortable. I was told by the other manager that the shower in our original room had a leak and the shower recess had silicon treatment that went black with the hard water. In my opinion this room should never have been rented. We have not been offered a refund for the extra cost we paid for the upgraded room as we stayed the 2 nights in the standard room. Both rooms needed a proper clean as there was dust on surfaces and fans but the manager explained it was hard getting cleaners. The motel was in an excellent location being in the Main Street. The water in the shower was hot and had great pressure. The air conditioner was super noisy. It was a fairly quiet location.

Not what was shown in online profile. Smoking area for staff too close to room. Lighting and electric blankets faulty and hairdryer not in room although listed as being in room. Pillows need an upgrade

Was comfortable bed.. plenty of room for 2 people. Only problem was no where within walking distance to eat.

Really warm and high pressure shower

Perfect stop if you just need a bed and somewhere to have a shower . Room Was warm and clean nothing fancy but did the job .

Great little overnighter in a lovely little town.

the building was alright outside and inside the property was dirty. Windows were full of cobwebs, window sills and windows had never been cleaned and corners were all dirty. If the health department saw it they would close it down till it was cleaned up.

The truck noise from the Main Street was terrible and went all night. We have stayed there several times before and did not encounter this

The Peter Allen is close to the main road in Tenterfield CBD but surprisingly quiet. Older style motel but in good condition and convenient to Coles and dining options. Comfortable bed and suitable for an overnighter.
