Lovely view from unit 15. Easy walking distance to town and restaurants, shops etc

The man at the front desk was very rude - obviously having a very bad day. Said he had never heard of Hotels.com, never had an affliation with them (I explained they are owned by expedia). I hadn't at that stage booked my room, as when I decided to spend the night in Merimbula I was across the road from his hotel and a number of others. They had a sign to book direct and save, so I got the app up, looked up the hotel to see that it suited my needs, which it did. I often book within AUST and O/seas via Hotels.com and I travel extensively staying in 40+ hotels per year. He quoted extra $20 dearer if I booked direct. I found that strange, so I said that I was going to book via Hotels.com - as was cheaper. He said it wouldn't have been their hotel but the one next door - I showed him the app, the name of hotel and confirmed it was his Hotel. He said if I booked via Hotels.com, he would just cancel it! At this stage he swore, I asked him politely not to use that language in front of me (he then said he was swearing at himself!!). I said if he cancelled the reservation I would call Hotels.com. He said they would never advertise/permit the room to be discounted to the price the app offered. I said to him that is a matter between he/the owner of the Hotel and Expedia..not me.. I said I would be happy to talk to owner to explain. He then handed me the key I was able to stay the night - there is nothing at all wrong with the Hotel - just the man behind the desk's attitude.

Enjoyed are stay, quiet and a clean clean, perfect for our one night stop.

There was kitchenet in the motel description but in first floor there is no sink, so you cant drink or wash anything. No dishwashing machine, no laundry facilities nearby. No common area. No fan or AC in the bedroom, It is okay if you have very less expectation. There was no pictures from expedia. If there is pictures, people dont get bluff.

The room didn’t match room description. It was pool fence view room rather than pool view room. Please change the room description. Rest was all good.

Has microwave, coffee making facility, fridge. Close to town, walking distance.

The check in was fast and easy. Lovey lady in the office (Sue). The very big room was spotless. Decor was very nice and fit for purpose . Water views from the private balcony which had table and chairs. Large flat screen TV. Bathroom was big and bright. Good lighting throughout. Grounds were well kept and gardens well looked adter. Plenty of parking. No noise from other rooms. Great place to stay.

The property is a bit tired and could do with a deep clean but otherwise nice. Pool wasn’t working.

Room is generally clean and check in was quick. not sure why is a credit card/ deposit required. Also, was given a room right next to a junction/ roundabout and it was noisy!

This was a really great place to stay. Our hosts were so friendly and helpful recommending local eateries, walks and other local activities. The room was spotless, spacious and with a lovely view from our balcony. Definitely value for money. Would have no hesitation in staying here again.

Clean and tidy place and happy staff. I found the notices on the two singles at the back of our otherwise small Queen room warning that touching or using either would incur a $30 fee a little off putting. I understand the reasoning but the method seems off. Recommended in all other ways.
