Simple but modern recently renovated room. Parking is tight (physically) but we arrived in between check out and check in times so whoever couldn’t access our room as we were too early , we got a space. Recommend doing this as parking tricky in area at weekends

Air conditioning leaked onto floor. Shower door leaked water onto floor, smoke alarm was faulty and woke us at 5.45 am. Door to bathroom didn’t close properly. Limited car parking and very difficult to park a larger car.

We arrived at the hotel at 8pm, where there was no one on the reception desk and had to wait 20 mins until someone finally emerged, there was no water in the room/fridge and no milk for coffee or tea. We’d hoped to hang by the pool the next morning however the pool was filthy and green so we decided to head to the beach instead. The person in the room next to us kept slamming their door shut. No breakfast facility as the hotel is undergoing renovations however the cafe across the road was great and portions sizes were decent. Only positive about the hotel is that the lady at the front desk was friendly and polite and the bed was comfy.

The hotel is undergoing a well overdue renovation and our room was mostly finished. There was one area that was roughly boarded off. No problems with that.
But unfortunately the craftsmanship of the persons responsible for the work left a lot to be desired. There is little point in renovating if you don't do it properly. Such a shame as the property has so much potential.
Other than that our stay was pleasant enough with a large room, comfortable bed and courteous staff.

Lovely stay at this hotel! Loved the location, super close to the beach and all the beautiful scenery of Newport. Had a lovely view from my room balcony and it was clean and comfortable. I stayed when renovations were happening so that’s the only reason I haven’t given full stars as you could see the building work taking place and there was a bit of building work noise going on. Other than that it was an amazing stay and would stay again :)

The staff were amazing. Although the report is under renovations and our room type wasn’t available, they were more than accommodating and offered some refund plus late check out. Rooms were clean and comfortable, would stay again. Small take away on adjacent corner has excellent meals and also coffee at reasonable prives

The property was in full construction mode with noise and dust consistent with construction. It really didn't matter to us since we were only sleeping there, and the noise was during business hours when we weren't there much. It is winter there, and low season, so not surprised that they chose this time of year for work. Personnel there were very friendly and helpful, and we did not complain or ask for any discounts. I guess it's because I work construction too and understand the limitations.
