My wife and I stayed at Spicers Hidden Vales in early Jan 2014, and experienced great services and environment there. I herby leave my comments: Accommodations at Spicers Hidden Vales are especially Australian style with a lot of antiques and genuine furniture, all of which are inherited from early 19th century. Customer cares and responses to inquiry were greatly satisfied ones. My wife and I enjoyed time there and coziness of the facility and people, and accessible distance to wild animals. This trip to Grand Chester Vales for us can be said not only a journey to a wildness in Australia plateau and vale, but a new experience in excellent service and cares. We would visit again some of other vales and mountains in Australia. HN

The pool and pool area could have been better. Vasp nests in two of the sunbeds.

Very relaxing place to stay food is great & staff are extremely friendly.

We had a lovely overnight stay, with a delicious breakfast included.

Awesome stay

Just wonderful. Just enjoyed the most relaxing night away to celebrate our 30th wedding anniversary. Rooms , staff and food are exceptional.

Room was motel size with king size bed . They needed to get plumber as toilet was leaking .Bathroom heater was not working. Inadequate space to get a wheelchair in room..Main restaurant was nice and staff were great but food and wine over priced .Two coarse $89 three coarses $99. Per person. Would not go there again as disappointing weekend.

This was a lovely place for a wedding destination. I'm a foodie so don't head here for the food, head here for the views, comfortable rooms and lovely bush walks.

Staff were excellent. So friendly and obliging. Our stay lived up to expectations. Can’t wait to visit again.

We stayed in unit 1 which is one of three units in a cabin. Unfortuently the cabin is located 10 metres from the main restaurant which is very noisy. We could still hear people laughing and music playing until late and was woken up by guests eating their breakfast in the morning. We booked a king size bed and was provided with a queen instead only to be told the king is only a preference and not guaranteed. We woke up tired and exhausted with probably one of the worst night sleep in my life. Pretty ridiculous for $600 per night and very disappointing way to spend our wedding anniversary. The positives was the amazing food, views and polite staff. We have stayed in other Spicers before which were all top notch. We feel ripped off and we will not be back. Beware to anyone who gets allocated to units 1-3 because I hope you're a heavy sleeper.

Great getaway location. Plenty to do if you want to explore or just chill by the pool. Staff are professional and friendly.
