A great big thankyou to the four gentlemen (didn't get their names) who helped get my 62 yr old fat arse of the floor after I rolled of the bed new years eve (wasn't drunk had only just booked in). My partner went for help, came back with 3 men had to get another man, as tall but beefier & after finally getting my knees under me & being pulled up I finally got my arse on a chair & after that I was able to stand myself after resting. The men where polite asking what I wanted to do, offered suggestions, let me know when they were going to lift & so on. Staff was excellent plus the man who got me a chair to sit on while I was waiting for my partner to park the car, check in & take the luggage up.

Staff were kind upon arrival. Took bags from car. But had to use stairs two flights to get from car. Long lift waits. Pool area looks like a scene out of an 80’s horror movie. Good location for city stay but could use some upgrades that’s for sure. Beds were pretty old and uncomfortable. Room service maid had no understanding of English when asked to come back in 15 Musca I was naked at the door. Moved to another hotel Grand chancellor after 2 nights.

We asked to be moved to a room facing the park and it had a lovely outlook. The reception staff were very helpful. An additional coffee machine at breakfast would have made things a little quicker.

Location great. The staff were lovely, really hardworking The rooms at the back are a bit dingy but ok for a short stay. The hotel was very busy (Ashes and Christmas), one lift out of action, staff overwhelmed at breakfast it was all a bit chaotic. Pool ok but only 5 loungers

The room was overall nice but seems to be getting a bit out dated. The toilet wouldn’t flush properly. Breakfast was nice and check in was smooth with a lovely assistant.

Room was fine, staff friendly and helpful. Issue was lifts when the hotel was busy, taking ages to get down to breakfast. One lift out of 3 was broken. Noisy neighbours partying was dealt with and issue with noise the next night was also dealt with.

Staff couldn’t cope check in took 30 mins, 2 lifts were a 20min wait every time, rooms were very clean but dated, instant tea & coffee only in premium room, didn’t use pool due to lift wait time, breakfast was okay but not enough seating we were told to go find any seat when none were available told to just wait! That sums up the service just wait for everything. I will not voluntarily return.
