Room was old, tired, things broken. Felt grubby because it was so outdated.

STEER CLEAR. Booked for 2 adults, 2 kids and room was meant to have a bed for the parents and TWIN singles. It only had a Queen, and a normal Single. Called reception expecting we would be moved to a more appropriate room. They claimed we couldn’t have booked for 4 people as their rooms are only suitable for 3 people. They said all of their rooms are the same. They tried to blame me as I “would have seen on Expedia that the room had a sofa bed”. Ummm no. We booked 2A 2C! We should have two single (ie. twin beds)! I refused to put any of my family in the pullout sofa which was covered in dust. Room was disgusting! Mould in shower. Spiderwebs on walls and ceilings with spiders. Webs all over windows. Cockroach poo in toaster cupboard. No coffee or sugar! Only teabags and salt and paper. Pool also had no water and has been out of action since COVID! It’s 2025. I had even paid an extra $73 for an extra person! I am now negotiating with Expedia about this. Ruined our weekend away for our son’s birthday and I didn’t get any sleep as I was squashed in a Queen with a 10 and 12 year old! See the pictures. It’s also called Tabourie Lake Motor Inn, NOT Tabourie Lake Motel. The staff aren’t in the office either and have a huge ugly pile of linen on trolleys waiting to be laundered. Such a run down place.

Try to avoid

The room was very dirty. It smelled really disgusting. We found over 10 spiders on the walls and a lot of cobwebs. The walls were yellow in several places and smeared with dead insects. On top of that, it was old and worn both inside and out. By far the worst motel we've stayed at during our trip to Australia.

Dated and in need of a facelift. Very dirty around the fridge

Stayed here before and it’s very cheap , has everything you need for a night stay close to the water and shops if you want takeaway food

great budget motel

Great for an affordable trip to the coast

Simple rooms, value price, convenient location, cant complain its what you expect for the price.

Fairly roomy and everything worked okay. A long way from the nearest town. Quite comfortable, however was dated and really needed a good dose of cleaning and repair.

Comfortable room in an old style motel. Good local advice on getting to the beach where we swam and walked to Crampton Island at low tide - excellent. The garden around the expansive lawn is immaculate and well worth walking around. Like most older motels it is not staffed most of the time as it would have been in the old days when they used to provide breakfast through the trapdoor!

Good room and necessities. Good value for money.

No staff to be seen nor manager nor reception!

Don't go expecting anything fancy - you get what you pay for! It's exactly what I was after though. Somewhere cheap and basic to sleep for a night

Rooms was pretty dirty, shower was filled with bugs Linen had stains on on it, I would rate the property 0 out of 5

The room was clean and good value for the price. Unfortunately the surroundings are run down (pool, playground) and don’t look anything like the photos provided. The garden was pretty and it looks like the owner wants to get on top of things. It’s a place with potential that has seen better times in the past. It’s a pity that the photos are misleading. Raj the caretaker was very friendly and helpful. 5 stars for Raj🙏

Unfortunately the room we stayed in was very unclean. The shower was full of mould, and when we accidentally spilt water on the carpet, cleaning it showed how dirty the carpets were as well! Advertisements show a pool, but it is still closed due to covid which isn’t advertised.

I would like to say how disgusting that place is full of cobwebs. Advertising the pool is empty. Had a sign in the bedroom due to Covid rusted out chairs which are a work health and safety issue. Will never go there again the second night we didn’t stay there. We went to the Novotel in Wollongong booked in for two nights.
