Room was basic just a bed and TV. Washroom was down at the end of the corridor.

The room was clean, had a nice big tv and an air conditioner and fan. No problems with the room. Read the details when booking. No fridge or amenities in the room, no bathroom and the shared bathroom has a shower that looks like it has never ever been cleaned (the men's at least). Bring your own shampoo etc. My room had a giant sign outside the window which changed every few seconds. It shone through the closed curtains. Basically it's a good price if you just want a room. Everyone was very nice. But there is room for improvement.

Friendly staff. Good bar. Great location. Amenities basic but excellent value for money. Comfortable room and not a single issue in my 5 day stay. Would definitely stay again.

A right dive

Die Mitarbeiter waren äußerst zuvorkommend. In unserem Zimmer, Nummer 12, haben wir leider eine fehlende Schublade an der Kommode bemerkt. Das Zimmer war etwas hellhörig, wodurch Geräusche aus den Nachbarzimmern sowie Musik aus dem Erdgeschoss wahrnehmbar waren. Da das Zimmer zur Hauptstraße ausgerichtet ist, war der Verkehr trotz geschlossener Fenster deutlich zu hören. Das Gemeinschaftsbad der Damen war in einem guten Zustand. Das Gemeinschaftsbad der Herren wies einen muffigen Geruch auf, hier wäre eine Verbesserung der Belüftung wünschenswert. Kostenfreie Parkplätze und kostenfreies WLAN sind erfreuliche Annehmlichkeiten. Die neu gestaltete Promenade des alten Hafenbereichs lädt zu einem etwa 30-minütigen Spaziergang zum Leuchtturm und ins Stadtzentrum ein. Eine direkte Tramverbindung ist fußläufig erreichbar.

Bit of noise from the bar music but by 10pm it had been turned down a bit and then disappeared completely so no complaints on that score. Owner very helpful and friendly. Room amenities just a bed, one side table and lamp ( two would be better for a double bed) and some shelves. Plus aircon of course. It would be nice to have say a couple of glasses and some water I feel. But absolutely clean and value for money.

This is not a hotel, it is a hostel. The shared washrooms are not clean, the shower stalls are covered in mould above and below. We actually left the hotel because we felt so uncomfortable. The "front desk" is serving staff (not their fault), and it was on a busy Triva night so we were not able to speak to someone. We just wanted to get out. When I contacted TD about the issues they tried to contact the Hotel and they didn't answer it took multiple days to get an answer and the hotel did nothing, no refund. The room was very loud and we could hear multiple strange noises from our AC unit.

Room was generally clean, Staff were excellent and friendly. Would have been great to have kettle and cups in the room.

Room was clean and comfortable, amenities accessible and clean. My only issue is that I have mobility issues, and climbing several flights of stairs was very daunting. Perhaps some mention of this on the website might be helpful for similarly challenged people.

The shared bathroom facilities were totally inadequate. The toilet seat was broken and there was only one toilet. The doors are very noisy and hard to open and shut. Luckily the bed was comfortable. The staff were lovely but I would not recommend the Albion for a stay to anyone.

Stayed here for two nights and had a good experience. It's exactly what you'd expect for the price range. Clean enough. I think the bad reviews come from people not knowing what they're in for when staying above a pub. I recommend reading all the reviews to know exactly what you're in for, then there aren't any surprises (slight tobacco smell, noise from pub, loud old doors, shared bathrooms etc).
