The location was excellent, close to the train station, with everything you need close by. The family room was spacious enough for a family of four, but we felt we would have liked a table or sofa for entertaining. Staff were very friendly and made us feel at ease. It was a wonderful trip and we would definitely stay there again.

Great little pub - reasonably quiet, nice and clean AND close to just about everything. The only improvement I could suggest is darker window blinds to keep the morning light out a bit. It reminds me of an outback Australian pub where the meals are great, the beer is cold, and the accomodation does the job.

The room was really spacious and fit our family of four. Shared bathrooms was not ideal but the location was great. Was probably a bit noisy until the bar downstairs closed, at around 11pm.

This place oozes with character and charm. Has everything you need. Great stay.

Bed is getting old, pillows smell of other people's heads, yuck! Room smells of men's sweat, yuck! Shower was a bit dirty, yuck! Nice counter staff and great location.

The guy in room frankie, sang as loud as he could feom 2.30am in the morning. With the tv on full volume. 2 days in a row. Very unpleasant. I understand its a pub accommodation. But thats too much.

Everything were how we have expected but, there was one thing that was confusing. We have reserved for 2 rooms. Which one of the rooms would've been with a king size bed for my husband and I. We ended up with the smaller room which we had to squeeze our selves on the smaller bed. Downside for that smaller room was there weren't no mirrors so we had to go the the restroom to get ready. Which we still have to share with other occupants. The larger room was given to our companion which she was the only one in that room. She had the larger bed and a mirror in the closet which her closet was larger than ours and had 2 night stands with 2 keys vs my husband and I had to share 1 key and share a nightstand as well. I was not too happy about this part. Overall, the managers were super nice and accomodating which they have allowed us to leave our baggages until it was time for us to leave for the airport.

Very tired, dated rooms, no real care taken. Basin was chipped and rusted. Blind wouldn't open. The duvet inner between two loose sheets was very stained. Lights on side table dirty. No battery cover for TV remote, TV up bear ceiling. Shower dripping. Urine on floor of shared toilet this morning. No aircon. Very noisy.

Although rooms a bit run down - very clean and comfortable Staff here all brilliant thoroughly enjoyed our stay Happy Yorkshire Day!!

Too many digs in the hotel while you are eating and very noisy all night banging and yelling.

Clean, comfortable and convenient. Nice neighbourhood and a short walk to trendy Newtown. The pub downstairs is great. Shared bathroom was fine. No dramas here & would definitely stay again

Nice bar. But a VERY average experience as a hotel... The room we stayed in looked like it had not seen a proper clean/bit of TLC in over 6 months, grimey and dusty. Very humid night and the portable AC unit was broken, with no replacements available, had to resort to opening the window. Base of window frame then breaks off immediately. Exposing old, rotten wood and rusty nails, and then would not stay open without slamming down every 15 minutes. Dead cockroach in cabinet.. Not the most inviting experience, quite nasty. Felt more like a run down hostel. Not worth the $250.00 p/night.

Simple and great property

The hotel duvet feels like it hasn't been cleaned in 10 years. One of the duvets has serious blood stains, which is disgusting! The sheets also have blood stains. It's really scary. The staff couldn't provide more duvets and could only offer sheets. There is no private bathroom.

Spent a few nights here. The room is not bad for a budget room. The staff were really friendly and helpful. Only a quick train ride to the city. The room can get a little warm but you do get a fan. Overall a nice place to stay cheap for a few nights
