Perfect as expected with safe motorcycle parking and great food with friendly staff

1)I liked the flexible check in : the room was more than 1 day empty so they let me go tot the room before 15:00 o'clock. 2)The room was big and had a terrace at the forrest. it was quiet . There is also a space for to park bicycles. 3)The breakfast was simple, enough coffee/tea and healthy food. 4)The atmosphere in the hotel was relaxed. 5)The payment was for me confusing: i prefer a direct payment at the same time as the reservation by Expedia .In that hotel there they only except payment after your stay so when the guest leaves. Personally i don't want worries about money and bills during my stay.

Gedateerd hotel dat dringend een renovatie nodig heeft; badkamer was een beerput, geen airco; interieur van de jaren 70. Prachtig uitzicht.

Endroit beau, propre et calme. Top pour un petit séjour familial.

De accommodatie is gedateerd en heeft geen vriendelijke uitstraling. Het lijkt vergane glorie. Kamer ruim met goede bedden. Ontbijt matig.

The hotel is nice from the outside. It’s a historic hotel so we expected some things to be dated. The worst part was the complete lack of WiFi. They say they have WiFi but we could not get it to work on any of our devices in our room. The next part that was rough was the ring of 4-5 keys they give you when you check in to be able to move around the hotel. You need a key for the door to the hotel, a key for the elevator, a key for your room, and a key to the safe. And there is only 1 key ring per room and the room cannot be locked from the inside without a key as well so when you are a family of 4 including 2 teenagers and a dog it is very difficult for people to go separate ways because you can’t get back into the hotel if someone stays in the room because you have to leave them the key so they can lock the room to ensure random strangers don’t walk in. Because you also can’t lock the room with them inside and leave with the key because if there was a fire they would not be able to get out. Also the elevator is terrible. It stops in the middle of a ride constantly.

Hotel is gelegen op een prachtige plek op een heuvel, als je aan de voorkant zit heb je ook nog eens een geweldig uitzicht. Kamer is ruim en schoon, misschien wat gedateerd maar de prijs is sympathiek en helemaal in verhouding. Restaurant (niet elke dag open) serveert traditioneel, smakelijk eten, het ontbijt is ook prima. Al het personeel is hartelijk en behulpzaam. Achter het hotel ligt een zeer mooi wandelpad door de bossen.

Wat gedateerde inrichting maar sanitair tiptop in orde en goed bed. Voortreffelijk uitzicht op de streek. Prijs / kwaliteit ok.

Great breakfast

Comfortable stay.Room has split levels. Comfortable bed and lift to first floor. Breakfast was good. Convenient to town and surrounding battle fields.

Flott beliggenhet med utsikt langt inn i Frankrike. En rask liten kjøretur vekk fra kaoset i Ypres.

Verblijf was OK, enkele tips om het nog beter te doen: - de kamers meer geluidsisolerend maken - ik mis wel tarwe of speltbrood, was te wit - het restaurant is niet altijd open - bediening aan terras overkant mag wel

Lovely setting, great breakfast and a superb restaurant right next door called the Hellegat.

We really enjoyed our stay, thanks in large part to the fact that because of a cancellation we got upgraded to a front-facing room at the last minute, which provided great views! We were glad we arrived relatively early just so we could hang out on the balcony. The room was clean and comfortable, the staff members were friendly, and the food at the restaurant was great! We had Saturday dinner and Sunday breakfast and enjoyed both. Would recommend!
