Rooms were clean and staff were very friendly. I never could figure out how to get hot water from the shower. Great location if traveling with your own vehicle- close to all the major sights in that area.

Rolson Hotel was a perfect place to stay while exploring Belize for a week vacation. The restaurant and bar were delicious, the staff was amazing and I would love to come back and spend more time here. If you are traveling to San Ignacio, make Rolson your place to stay

Rolson provided a great base for our travel in the San Ignacio area. The downtown is not too far but not really an easy walk away so you’ll need transportation like a taxi or car. The rooms are well priced and tour guides know it’s location so can accommodate direct hotel transfers. Very handy having a restaurant and bar and pool to dip into after hot day touring!

The condition of the room is the only thing keeping the Rolson from a 5 star rating. The room was clean and spacious compared to other places I stayed while in Belize. The bed was comfortable and the water was plenty hot with good pressure. There was both a fridge and safe in the room, neither of which worked. The room felt a bit dated as well. None of this was a deal breaker, particularly since I was only there a night, but the rating suffers a bit for it. This hotel was situated right near the highway which made it a perfect stop on my way back from visiting Tikal. It's not in the center of the San Ignacio business district, but in a relatively quiet suburban feeling neighborhood. There is off-street, relatively protected, parking but keep in mind that you are competing with restaurant customers for that parking. I ended up eating dinner elsewhere that night and got lucky to pull in when someone was pulling out. Otherwise I may have been stuck waiting for a spot or finding parking on the street. I did have breakfast at the restaurant which was delicious and very affordable.

The staff was key positive of the hotel. There were so many stairs to get anywhere, but the staff was very helpful in carrying luggage when we arrived.

The entire staff of the hotel were extremely friendly. They made every effort to ensure that our trip was a pleasant experience. It was obvious that the staff had great pride in their work because everything was so clean and nicely put together.

My family of eight stayed at the Rolson for three nights. It’s close enough to the town center that we walked there. The service was very good. The food at the restaurant was excellent. The staff was very friendly and did everything to make our stay there pleasant. I would definitely stay there again.

The staff was always on top of everything, a special shout-out to Jacob. Pool was an excellent refresher after visiting the ruins nearby.

My stay was fantastic! The room was clean, spacious, and comfortable, exceeding my expectations. The staff was warm, welcoming, and extremely accommodating. I’ll definitely be back for another stay soon—I highly recommend this hotel!

I really don’t like when hot water is advertised but there is none.

This property was okay- the restaurant was decent the pool looked nice, the room was clean. There was parking and it was a close DRIVE to the middle of town and the market. We went to the ATM cave tour and our hotel was on the pick list. Our room had a window AC unit and it was very loud, we would turn it off to speak to each other-- it was 105 outside so it had to be on. you could not safely walk to the market or the area where the shops are. It is in the middle of a residential area off the main highway. We thought we were going to be walking distance to the market, shops and restaurants but it would be at least a 15-20 minute walk.

The Rolson is superbly managed. The rooms are super clean, and the restaurant is among the best around San Ignacio, with great food right on through to dessert. Awesome drinks as well… The wife and I recently purchased property nearby, and we now we plan to make “The Rolson” our base in Cayo during the construction of our new home. It’s that good!
