Fantastic

Good bargin for the price. It was nice, clean, fun atmosphere, pretty well organized. Not much staff on duty, but then you really don't need them much. My only problem was an old hard mattress in the private room.

The property is fantastic and set up well. The host are great and a lot of fun to hang out with. The pool is a nice touch. They have a nice lounge with a TV and a nice kitchen area. They have free bikes. They will do laundry for you on site. The bathrooms are very clean and offer some privacy even though they are not located in the rooms. They have a honesty bar where you can grab a beer or a Coke and drop a few bucks in a cup next to the fridge. They had some nice things in the room like toothbrushes, a small tube of toothpaste, shampoo, and a comb. I didn’t realize that the room didn’t have air conditioning, but they lhad a nice ceiling fan and an oscillating stick fan in the room so it wasn’t bad. The only thing I would suggest is better mattresses. I could feel the springs poking through the mattress in our room. It’s new. It’s just very basic and not very comfortable. All in all we had a fantastic time at Royal Rat and we would definitely stay here again and would recommend it to others.

We bare-boated a catamaran out of The Moorings and this location was perfect and very affordable. The hosts were excellent and helpful. Free bikes and several good dining options close by. Thanks! I hope to come again!

Excellent, modern, well-designed hostel with great facilities, warm friendly hosts, and a wonderful pool. A quiet setting just 1km or so from a supermarket and pleasant bikeride or hitch to the main town. Also a good base for local boat & diving trips, or somewhere just to chill out. Thoroughly recommended.

Lovely friendly owners who go out of their way to help out. Very clean. Comfy beds. good kitchen. Great pool and sunbeds. A very sociable place, the owners also put on a couple of nights making it easy to meet the other guests. Its a little way out of the village (not walking distance), but you can easily hitch a ride or use one of the bikes at the hostel to cycle in.

Everything was very clean, comfy beds and a good kitchen. It is a little way out of the village but you can hitch a ride in easily enough or use one of the bikes at the hostel. There is a smaller village in the other direction that is closer.

Eine sehr positive Überraschung. Die Hosts waren sehr nett und der Service exzellent. Die Zimmer, das Bad und die Küche waren sehr sauber, die Küche zudem sehr gut ausgestattet. Absolute Empfehlung!
