basic but okay for the price. stayed for 3 nights 2nd day after skiing came back to find our items had been moved around. it appeared our clothing in the wardrobe had moved. both passports where in my husbands jeans on a shelf in the wardrobe came back the room my passport was on the desk and my husbands was underneath the wardrobe right at the back - really dont know what went on in our room. on leaving - hotel tried to make out we hadnt paid! saying hotels.com paid on departure. still didnt believe us after showing app booking confirmation and PayPal statement- finally spoke to manager on the phone 30 mins later . turns out our room was a private rent within the hotel and the owner hadnt paided the bill - this caused a mad rush to the air port

A 4* hotel this is not. It's OK if you're just looking for a place to crash in Borovets but it's on the outskirts of town (10 min walk to town if you're not in ski boots). Has a sauna but no jacuzzi or steam room and the pool is not really big enough for swimming properly. Breakfast was average if you got there reasonably early but by 8am everything on the hot counters is cool and doesn't get replaced.
