Closeness to the airport.

Séjour très agréable, les enfants ont vraiment apprécié la piscine accessible toute la journée, le cadre et la construction traditionnelle donne une ambiance particulièrement charmante, j’ai été agréablement surprise de découvrir ce type d’hôtel au Burkina Faso, séjour inoubliable et à refaire sans aucun doute.

I am very happy with my choice of this hotel built in traditional way, we are still therefor four days more, and even plan to come back in for our departure in September. We’re really happy, the children did enjoy the pool opening from 7:00 am until sunset. The WIFI is not that strong.

Great area that is quiet, private and safe. Good food and excellent staff. The manager/owner always present and polite. Free shuttle to and from the airport

In der Preiskategorie bisher das beste Hotel in dem ich in Burkina Faso war. Die drei anderen waren writ drunter. Das einzigste was mir gefehlt hat war ein Fön im Bad und ein kleiner Kühlschrank im Zimmer.

the hotel is safe, beautiful and designed from the local architecture, but the meat doesn't fit with this concept. The famous Burkinabe guinea fowl is missing from the menu

Le Grad Calao was a nice little oasis in the middle of the hustle and bustle of a busy Ouagadougou street. As an American first time visitor to Burkina, I felt safe and secure on the property of the Grand Calao. The rate was reasonable and the grounds were well kept. My room was very no frills, but nice, neat and best of all - air conditioned. The owner of the property was very visible, so that was somewhat reassuring. The main gripes I had with the hotel, was that they could use some kind of citronella or bug repellent candles in their dining and lounging areas. Also, the toilet in my room was not thoroughly cleaned (underneath the lid), but I always carry disinfectant wipes, so I took care of that myself. Overall, my experience at Le Grand Calao was pleasant.

Gran bel Hotel, pulito silenzioso con personale molto cordiale. Unica pecca il ristorante, pochi piatti tempi lunghi (circa 1 ora) .

Ben l’hôtel a un accueil chaleureux Les chambres sont propres Mais le seul regret c’est qu’il y avait un souci avec la climatisation et aussi la piscine ne chauffe pas ce qui était dommage .

Hôtel très sympathique dans un cadre Africain très agréable et reposant. Accueil chaleureux et personnalisé, personnel très serviable et attentif aux besoins des clients, même si c’est quelque fois un peu long. Chambres propres, bien climatisées avec une literie confortable. Pour le reste, c’est largement suffisant. C’est dommage que le restaurant ne propose pas de cuisine locale. Autre bémol, mais on ne peut pas tout avoir ; hôtel excentré et pas grand-chose autour. Hôtel à recommander, et j’y retournerai certainement lors de mon prochain voyage à Ouagadougou.

Ett billigt och mycket bra hotell. Maten är förvånansvärt god! Det är ett stort pluss att de har gratis transfer till och från flygplatsen i bra bil. De talar inte så bra engelska men det fungerar och ägaren till hotellet talar bra engelska.

An amazing little oasis on the outskirts of the city. Comfortable rooms, pool is a welcome treat in the hot weather. The staff and owner were extremely helpful even with the language barrier.

I was pleasantly surprised by the warmth I got from the staff at Hotel Grand Calao. Lovely people, very helpful and a buzzing city. They were accommodating where I needed help and though I travelled alone I didn't feel that I was alone. It is a Great boutique hotel that I'd recommend to many. I also look forward to visit & explore more of the town again.
