The space was very clean and the checkin was seamless. The only drawback was that we found it to be quite noisy.

Fantastic spot! Very easy to get in and out. Great location. Bit noisy so bring some earplugs to sleep. I slept great!

There is no front desk here. Everything is done voice-mail. It was very incomplete not having a front desk or a live person to help guests. The area is iffy, gone way and you’re in Gastown, go the other way you are in skid row. We came back one night and there was a man sleeping in the doorway. Room was basic and loud.

Easy access into room, door to street and door to gated parking lot. Room was beautiful. Host was super kind with allowing me to park before and after my reservation when I was getting my tattoo done! Alleviated a huge stressor!!!! Walkable to many cute coffee shops and restaurants! No need for a vehicle when you are there. I'll be back again!

Excellent location and super easy to use the service

For a nice clean room with a beautiful walk through Gastown on way to Canada Place ... You can't beat Block House. Bare bones room, no clock, no phone but that's the charm. The exposed materials (brick, wood, steel, pipes) are also super charming and a big warm bed. Noise was minimal but I used ear plugs just in case. I walked through the neighbourhood several times at various hours, I never felt unsafe.

Stay away! If you like to have a good nights rest and sleep, stay away. You can hear people walking upstairs, talk upstairs, you can hear people talking outside through out the night, screaming, singing, yelling. You can hear the faucet running from the rooms next door to you. Door slamming all night long. Unsure how this has gotten 4.7 rating don’t believe it for a second. Oh and the rooms had a sewage smell to them. The only redeeming quality was a clothes steamer in the room.

Amazing experience staying at the Block House. The communication with the host was prompted and they checked in a few times within our 3 day stay. The building was clean and our room was perfect. The building was secure because it was located in not the best area.

Property is in Gastown which has plenty of food and drink options. The property itself is recently renovated and incredibly clean. The check in process was very straightforward and the room was to a high standard with an incredibly comfy bed! The staff were friendly and super helpful when we needed to reach out with some questions. They very extremely accommodating when it came to looking after our luggage before our flight home. Highly recommend!

The good: very new and clean room. Bed was comfy. As shown. Good imendities. Parking was reasonable and safe. The bad: there is no lobby and the check-in process was cumbersome. I booked and then never received an email with instructions. Called on arrival and was difficult to communicate with representative and took 30+ minutes to get into room after being hung up on and passed around to 2 people. Then on the first night upon arriving after dinner the code to enter room did it work and we were stranded on the street in Gastown for another 15 minutes trying contact hotel Im sure they will figure all this out but we got lucky we had phones with signal and coverage or we would have been sleeping on the street. Gastown is cool and the hotel is right on the border. Anything west feels safe, anything (like 1 block) east is very sketchy and not safe feeling. Just a heads up.

Nice layout, but the heater didnt seem to work. Spare blankets might also be a nice addition, otherwise very nice

The location was perfect the room was immaculate and the staff was next level amazing. Would highly recommend. It felt like home away from home and would definitely stay here next time I’m in Vancouver.

Good view, clean room, hospitable staff, excellent robe

Room was clean and well stocked. Assistance due to a minor issue was immediate and very impressive.
