Beautiful setting. Great buffet. professional staff.

All negative reviews you can find about rooms and the state of property are overall accurate. Stuff members at the reception desk are nice and helpful to the best of their abilities. The main reason why I give 1 star is that I couldn’t sleep due to cleaning person performing his duty from 03:30 to 06:00. I was woken up in the middle of the night by a loud sound of what appeared to be a commercial vacuum cleaner. Once it was done the cleaning person was going back to forth to a utility room to dump dirty water and refill his bucket with clean water. The bucket is also a commercial one with wheels that was making a lot of noise when dragged across ceramic tiles floor. It was a waste of a night that made the following day much harder.

The property was beautifully decorated for the holiday season, Service was friendly. Hotel was pet friendly

We had a wonderful stay at the pines for my wife's birthday. The staff were courteous, and super helpful. They went above and beyond to make the evening special, including chocolates and a birthday card waiting for us in our suite. Churchill's restaurant was amazing, and there also the team went above and beyond. This was not our first time staying here, and it definitely won't be our last. Highly recommend!

Rooms are quite dated and not very well laid out. TV is in an awkward place. Plumbing didn’t work quite right. Finishing are very date. Beds are very comfortable and the. Breakfast was awesome. Chose this spot as I got a deal through Expedia with my points but likely wouldn’t choose it as an option at full price.

Our entire experience was outstanding again. The check in was prompt and our cottage was just amazing.... a real fire is rare now and it made for a wonderful room service dinner by the fire. We will definitely be promoting the Pines!

The staff was extremely friendly and accommodating. Great room with a beautiful view and buffet style breakfast in the morning was full, fresh, and with many options.

Nice historic hotel

The reception agent, Rexon, was amazing. Very informative and offered his assistance when needed. The room was great; very clean, comfortable bed and chairs. Beautiful antique desk. My only issue was pertaining to my husband. He usually walks with a walker, but to get inside we had to walk to the other side of the hotel and take the elevator up. After that he used his cane, which he is not as steady on. He went out the main door and had to hold onto the railing which is covered with beautiful Christmas decorations. He had to search for a clear piece of railing to hold onto. Because the stairs were so wet, I had to hold the railing as well and found the same issue. Other than that, we had a wonderful stay. Thank you.

Everything was great

Noelle at front desk was excellent. We staying in main building. Bed was VERY comfortable. Although it is an older building, it was still pleasant. Walls NOT soundproof. We could easily hear the people next door talking even though they were not talking loud, and could even hear their phone notifications. Hauling luggage up the stairs at front entrance and to room floor was a bit inconvenient. Food in restaurant was good and appreciated the complimentary breakfast. Overall I was happy with the accomodations.

Beautiful room with a view of the water. Friendly staff. Great historic building with charming character. The breakfasts that are included were outstanding. We’ll definitely be back!

The staff were so helpful! Terry took us on a tour of some of the cottages and we were able to find a great one for next summer. We booked it and can’t wait to come back. The evening manager and front desk clerk on Nov 5 were also very helpful with tips and suggestions of where to go in the area and provided us with some brochures as well. The server Nov 5 for dinner at the restaurant ( think it was Aurora) was very sweet and attentive. We also had a a great complimentary hot breakfast that was served by a fun person ( believe They were named Adam?) Our room was clean and had a great view of the water. Can’t wait to return!
