Quick and easy check in, lots of fun stuff for people of all ages, beautiful location and view. Room was just as beautiful with a balcony!

This is a lovely site to stay at. If you want a relaxing stay then it is a good place to go. It is a little distant from anywhere else but not enough to be a serious problem.
I might have been there too early in the season but the dining room didn't open for breakfast until 8 but as a birder I was on the move before that. So I brought breakfast with me. At supper the night before I heard a person arranging a take away breakfast as she had a tee time at 8:15. That's when I realized that since this is also a golf course and people will golf very early that the restaurant should be open early enough to support those golfers.
The room was very large. Almost too large but it might not have been if there several of us staying there. The bathroom was large but oddly, the bathtub and shower were very small. Definitely one of those showers that would benefited from having a curved pole extending out into the bathroom to give you more elbow room in the shower.
The only semi-serious complaint is that my window wouldn't open. The mechanism wouldn't work which is too bad as I always want fresh air in my room when sleeping. Also being right on the lake, I'm sure I'd have heard birds, like loons, if my window had been open.
However these are minor points. It is definitely the place I will stay again the next time I am in the area/

The hotel portion of the resort was really nice. Friendly staff, clean rooms, nicely cared for grounds. The view from the room was beautiful. The restaurant on site was awful. Poor service at the evening restaurant and breakfast menu not available as advertised (buffet only $22). The buffet was similar to that of a free breakfast hotel (scrambled egg; toast, bacon, sausage, muffins, bagels, fruit and yogurt). No other breakfast option available on site; buffet or nothing.

Patio chairs unusable, drain for sink plugged.
No pen/paper in room. No menu for either restaurant in room.
If you require additional linens or toiletries you’ll need to ask at the front desk as your room does not automatically receive maid service if staying for more than one evening.
We didn’t use it, but the pool facility was nice as was the beach across the street.
The price was good as well.
Overall, ok but not exceptional.

We understood that it was near the end of season. The place itself was very nice and clean and staff were friendly. The one complaint was breakfast. Buffet style. Not nearly enough food to warrant charging $22 per person. It consisted of scrambled eggs, home fries, toast, bacon and sausage. They ran out of eggs and coffee. Like i said, we know it was Oct 17th and close to closing up for the season but if you are going to be open then you need to make sure you have enough food on hand to see you through to the end. If you don't want to do a big order from suppliers than at least make a trip to the grocery store and buy what you think you will need. We were not impressed having to pay $22 per person and there was only limited items to choose from and felt that you couldn't take more because there were other people there that also needed to eat.

breakfast buffet was pretty good. No fridge in room. Hairdryer was so weak I could not dry my hair. The beds were very comfortable. Lots of water pressure in the shower. No elevator was a problem as we were unaware and our room was on second floor. No help offered to haul heavy suitcase upstairs & our room was at the far end of the resort. Nobody offered to help. I am 76 years old & visiting family in the area.

Lovely big room, very comfortable. Was better than I was expecting. Enjoyed a swim too.
Had a very good dinner in the restaurant with excellent service. Breakfast let them down, hot buffet anything but. If they can't keep it hot, then do a different breakfast service. Not much choice either, disappointing.

Huge, clean room with balcony and water view. Clean washroom with excellent shower but the toilet labours to flush number 2. Staff was excellent, friendly and helpfull but by 4 pm, sec9nd day, our room still hadn't been made up. Had to chase down more coffee for the morning. Very much chagrinned that, despite the high cost of the room, the breakfast buffet, same as provided free of charge in most hotels, ie scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage, yucky fried cubes and coffee cost us $25 per person. Sec9nd morning we drove 30 minutes into tSt. Peter's for a proper breakfast for much less. We won't be staying here again.
