Our stay was relaxing but difficult to find our room.. more signs to know where to go would be helpful. Missing the beach vibe and wish we were closer to it plus more of a view

The property was nice and new. Well equipped. Great staff. Disappointed for the amount paid that there was no direct access to the water. Originally on the site it showed waterfront which to us meant we could go into the water but there were so many rocks and no proper access. The breakfast was nice but expected a full breakfast not a continental breakfast for the money spent. Very nice accommodations but the value was not there. I would have preferred to stay in a smaller hotel/motel/cottage for less money in town if I had known the location was not what we expected being on water.

Disappointing Experience Despite the Beautiful View We were excited about our stay at Evo B&B – Adults Only, Waterfront, but unfortunately, our experience fell short of expectations. Upon arrival, we were greeted not with a warm welcome, but with a stern reprimand from the property manager to immediately remove our shoes—before we had even entered our room. It felt more like being scolded than checked in. If shoe removal is a strict house policy, complimentary slippers would be a considerate addition, especially for guests who are just arriving. The room itself was nicely decorated and the waterfront view was truly lovely. However, the positive aspects ended there. That evening, after returning from a quiet night out, we settled in to watch Netflix around with the volume set low (12). At around 11 pm, the same manager knocked on our door to tell us we were being too loud. We were shocked and felt uncomfortable from that point on—as if we were being constantly monitored. We resorted to whispering for the rest of the evening. It quickly became clear that the walls are extremely thin. We could hear our neighbors' conversations as if they were in the same room. Privacy is minimal, and any kind of normal evening activity feels discouraged. This might be a decent stay for solo travelers who plan to be in bed by 10 pm and don’t mind tiptoeing around. But for couples or anyone looking to relax and enjoy their evening, I cannot recommend this property.

Excellent location with a stunning view of the lake! Loved the decorum and how the space was used. Having Breakfast at our door was a wonderful perk and I highly recommend this cozy place to anyone thinking of visiting the area.

Nice location and view of Lake Huron. Wish the fan didn’t have ticking noise but otherwise, everything else was great
