Great room and stay, close to our shopping place

Very comfortable spacious rooms. Because of its location the property is very quiet. There are two restaurants within walking distance. Staff was very helpful and knowledgeable.

Beautiful newer hotel. Comfortable bed, large room, and above average breakfast in a very nice room by the main entrance.

No shortage of parking, the lot is very large and easy to find a spot no matter what time of day we parked. The staff was incredibly friendly and seemed happy to answer questions. The breakfast is the best part ! The waffle station is loaded with so many options and the waffles are delicious ! Lots of other options like fresh fruit, yogurt and oatmeal. The eggs, sausage and potatoes changed a little from day to seat which was nice.

Very nice property and friendly staff. So very impressed with the quality of the breakfast and was appreciative of the complimentary pasta dinner when we arrived after a rough winter drive.

Room could be cleaner: bathroom light switch, walls could use a wipe down. Breakfast, bland instant eggs, undercooked hadhbrowns, sausage with bleachy aftertaste, waffles are ok, the little ones end up mushy, stick with the big one. Pancake machine might be a better idea. Toast machine requires 3 passes to lightly toast an English muffin. Pool, either overcrowded or completely unusable, our last morning there we’re told the hottub will require several hours to warm up, and the pool maintenance guys left the door to outside open making it cold, i understand they were doing stuff with chlorine probably but it was a big letdown we couldn’t even enjoy the pool.

Excellent service

The check-in process was slow, with only one member of staff responsible for guests at the busiest time (4pm - 5:30). He was also trying to manage the incoming phone calls, all of which were parked but I didn't see him get back to anyone while he dealt with the three or four groups ahead of us and then the two or three after us. The room we had was well appointed, having a fridge, microwave and single serve coffee maker - all of which we didn't use. The bathroom was very spacious and equipped with a walk-in shower. The toilet was fitted with a slow-close seat. However, being an accessible room, it would have been better with a raised seat for those with disabilities. All towels and the shower curtain were clean, very white and soft. Shampoo, conditioner and shower gel are provided. The king size bed was very comfortable and the linen crisp. Space was very good in the room and about four times larger than a previous stay we had at another Medicine Hat hotel a couple of years ago. Traffic noise is very evident at this hotel from the very nearby Trans Canada Highway only meters from the bak of the hotel. During our one night stay the hotel parking lot was not at all busy and I suspect perhaps 60% of the hotel was empty. We didn't try the pool but it did look smart. Breakfast runs from 6am - 10am during the week and has a good selection of options, ranging from self cook waffles, muffins, eggs, bacon and breakfast potatoes to cereals, yoghurt fruit and toast.
