This hotel is beautiful and charming. The location is tough to beat, as we were able to walk to Old Town and the port. We loved sitting on our patio area at night and enjoying a fire as well! The staff was extremely friendly and went above and beyond to help us when we needed it. The restaurant was being remodeled while we are there but it looks like it will be amazing once it is done. If we are ever back to Quebec City, we would look to stay here again!

C'est le meilleur lit et les meilleurs oreillers que j'ai eu l'occasion de tester de ma vie. De plus, la chambre avait une ambiance très apaisante. Ma chambre avait un balcon qui donnait sur une rue très animée et je n'ai entendu aucun bruit. Cet hôtel offre l'avantage d'être bien située sans les problème de nuisances sonores.
Petit bémol, la chambre avait l'air plus petite que sur les photos et la salle de bain qui est magnifique est démesurée pas rapport à la chambre mais ce n'est pas un enjeu.
L'accueil est très bien et l''employée à la réception a été très professionnelle et charmante.
Ce fut une magnifique nuitée.

We had an amazing stay in Quebec City at The Hotel Maurice. Check in was a breeze thanks to Sophie. She was incredibly helpful, to the point she walked with my MIL outside and down the street to show her where public washrooms were (in case she needed them on her stroll) The room was beautiful! A little confusing if you aren’t tech savvy lol. Location was perfect, we were able to walk everywhere we wanted to see. We would stay here again!

Really awesome hotel with a 10/10 design concept. The little chateau building and 1920s theme is really great. Nice little terrace as well.
There are a few smaller issues we found:
- The hotel is listed as 5 stars but at least right now, it really only consists of the rooms
- The restaurant is closed and there is construction going on. This IS reflected in the prices though
- The hotel seems to be severely understaffed. The super-nice crew has to do front desk, garage management and more and it's only one person at a time. Sometimes the reception desk was just vacant
- No breakfast
- The cigar lounge that doubles as a bar obviously has a heavy smell to it. If you don't like smoking you can't even go in there
So right now the hotel feels more like a guest house. I'd still recommend it if you're okay staying outside most of the time and you don't need any services. Also make sure that the price is right.

On the day we arrived I received a message to advise my wife and I that the lifts were not working, reception to check in is on the 2nd floor and our room was on the 3rd floor withboth of us retired and over 65 this was not a welcome we had expected. It's clear the work has been going on for some time therefore why were we not advised prior to arrival day. I don't find this acceptable.
Day one we had no milk for coffee in our room, day two we had no milk or coffee and run out of toilet paper, day three on our evening return our bed had been made up but still no milk, no coffee and no toilet paper. For what thus hotel is charging I'm afraid they are lacking in basic hotel hospitality skilss and I would not recommend this place to stay.
We found out on checking out the lifts were now working but no bothered to send us a message or leave a note in our room or reception to advise us just yet another example of poor management.
Does make me wonder if my wife and I were going up and down all these stairs for days unnecessarily.
