Our stay was good overall, except for an unfortunate incident on our last night—May 4th at around 11 PM.
Upon our return to the hotel, we requested two bottles of water from the night manager. However, he asked if he could charge them to our room at $2.50 each. We declined and explained that we had requested water on previous nights and were provided bottles at no charge.
Unfortunately, the night manager was not friendly and made several condescending remarks, which I have listed below:
1. "If you don’t believe that it’s chargeable, I can show it to you right here."
2. "Whoever gave you the water bottles for free made a mistake."
3. "I stayed at the Hilton and they only gave me one bottled water."
4. "You can complain if you want."
I've stayed in cheaper hotels were water was complimentary. We stayed at LHotel for five days and four nights, LHotel is certainly not a budget hotel, and I didn’t even claim the complimentary breakfast (bread, coffee/tea, and juice). The least I expect from a night manager is a courteous explanation if bottled water cannot be provided for free.
While I understand that bottled water may be chargeable, the hotel could at least provide a water station for guests. Furthermore, the night manager’s attitude was unacceptable. If he believed a mistake had been made by previous staff, he could have communicated that politely or shown some flexibility, rather than treating us disrespectful
