I booked a King suite on the main floor facing the river. The room was clean and modern. I think a few updates need to be made, but not many. What I was disappointed about what the description of "patio/terrace" being included with my room. This was not the case. When I arrived at the room, there was no patio facing the river. I realized with further research that the hotel only includes a shared patio/terrace on the second floor. I went to the second floor hoping to use this patio as the weather was beautiful, and the door was locked. I asked a house keeping employee why the door was locked, and they stated that the patio is no longer in use because guests were behaving irresponsibly on the patio. I wish this had been clearly stated on the website when I made my booking. One of the main reasons I had booked my suite was for the use of the terrace. I feel like I didn't get my money's worth for the stay.

We really liked the hotel, but the parking is extremely limited. If you park on the street, you have to make sure you are ready at 8am to pay on the app. It won’t let you pay in advance.

Always happy with my stays here - such friendly and accommodating staff, clean and great smelling spaces, and perfect location. It's the only hotel I consider when staying in Winnipeg. The only reason I gave 4 instead of 5 stars was due to the fact, I paid for and had received confirmation for a river facing room and they were all taken, and I think the parking fee is overpriced - otherwise it would be 5 stars. Nice job being affordable and great quality!

I love staying at mere when I am in visiting. Great location, great hotel.

Very nice location, with well kept property and attentive staff in the housekeeping area. It would be a bit more welcoming if the front office staff smiled and engaged more actively with guests. This is not to suggest they were not pleasant - they simply never smiled.

Nice place for a getaway

I checked in with my partner then went out for dinner. When we returned, we pulled back the covers and noticed something crawling in the bed.. come to find out it’s a bed bug. We immediately grabbed our belongings and left to the front desk, where we were greeted by awful customer service. The two at the desk were smiling and laughing during this situation and didn’t seem surprised to hear of bed bugs. They offered another room.. we obviously didn’t take it. We were told that when the “inspectors” come on Monday they’ll determine whether or not it was a bed bug and would warrant a full refund. My concern is that there’s no way to tell if the “inspector” will be truthful, or if there even is a real “inspector” Based on the manner in which the front desk handled the situation, I have no faith that they’ll admit it was a bed bug so they can withhold my money. All in all, poor experience and poor customer service. Definitely don’t stay here if you want good service and a bug free room!

Enjoyed the stay and pleased with staff and surrounding area

Nice room, comfy bed, great shower. Very convenient for dog walking. Lovely restaurant beside the hotel. Someone had parked in the electric charger spot- so we couldn’t charge our car. The parking lot was full and we had to park off site.

The Mere hotel is probably the cleanest hotel I have had the pleasure of staying in in Canada. The price was super affordable for such a luxury hotel. The staff was professional, kind, and knowledgeable. The location is second to none. We were able to walk to most attractions and restaurants. The area is safe, quiet, and centrally located. The parking lot is tight but we have a small sedan so it was fine for us. The rooms were impeccable and I couldn't find a single spot of dust or dirt and trust me I have a keen eye for dust. The decor is modern and there is plenty of space in the room for us to organize our belongings. The personal care items that the hotel provided were very luxurious. We will be staying at this hotel and it will be our go to hotel in Winnipeg from here on out.

Very clean, only issue is the small parking and the pillows! Other than that, pleasant stay.
