Hotels.com verified review

We couldn't get in to the suites. We were waiting two hours outside of the building. Hotel.com provided with two phone numbers we could call to reach the owner of the Newtel Suites but any of them worked. We had to book another hotel.

Fraudulent hotel. Expedia check in procedures mention having to contact this hotel in advance for check in. Left 4 voice mails with no response and even expedia on two occasions with me on the phone could not reach them. If you look at the online reviews, several mention the same problem. How come expedia even still offers this????? I ended up paying for the hotel for two nights and both my colleagues were without a room. Expedia did NOTHING to help me and won’t even refund me. Since when is it acceptable to charge for a hotel, not offer the room, not offer an alternative and then say “sorry sir it’s a non refundable hotel” so we cannot do anything about it. ibe tried now unsuccessfully 3 times with Expedia for resolution and absolutely nothing has been done about it. Shame on you, Expedia.

DO NOT STAY HERE. Do everything you can to avoid Newtel Suites/Fastlane Suites. I had booked this hotel WELL in advance. The day before check in, I read some bad reviews.. so I decide to call & email the hotel to re-confirm. After approx 6 phone calls with no answer, and two emails with no answer, an HOUR before check in we finally receive a response saying the hotel is no longer open. We had been sitting in the car for two hours waiting for a response at this point. We lost the $500 fee we paid, and were stuck with no hotel for the next 4 days. They did not contact us prior to let us know we needed to book a new hotel. AVOID THIS HOTEL AT ALL COSTS. This issue caused a lot of stress, tears, and an additional $500 had to be spent on a new hotel. 4 weeks & a Visa Fraud Dispute later we finally received our money back. Not worth the headache!!! I'd give 0 stars if possible.

First of all when i booked this hotel I booked the Penthouse Suite (booked in April), a week before i was going to check in (early July) they sent me the instructions and it was for a completely different unit then what i booked. They told me there is nothing they could do and it was Expedia error, i lucky found PROOF that I did indeed book the penthouse, I decided to keep my reservation as is as it was stampede weekend and NO hotels were available unless you wanted to pay $400/night. LUCKILY there was a "cancellation" with the penthouse so we ended up getting it. It was about plus 30 the weekend we were there, no AC as indicated just a few fans, i tried to call the office to see how to get the AC working or if they indeed had it, left VM never got a call back that weekend. Needless to say we basically melted and made it VERY uncomfortable to sleep. Now about the $400 "DEPOSIT" they say they "have" to charge it and will reimburse you 29 days or something after check out - first of all what kind of hotel charges your card instead of taking a pre-auth ANYWAYS they charged me the $400. End of July rolls around no refund to my card, called the office DAILY, SENT EMAILS, LEFT VOICEMAILS and did anyone call me back ..... NOPE!!! this place is a complete JOKE - i had too call my credit card and dispute - OCTOBER NOW !! and i just got my 400 bucks back. SO end of the day was a nice place to stay but defiantly NOT worth the headache - Hopefully you guys can improve your services.

極差!是我們人生中最差的住宿經驗!DO NOT CHOOSE HERE!!THERE SERVICE IS THE WORST YOU CAN IMAGINE FOR YOUR TRAVEL EXPERIENCE!! 我們在2017年April預定Newtel Suites的六人閣樓房, 預定8/10-12入住, 但我們並不知道這不是一間旅館,而是一個無人管理的公寓, 幾乎不接電話,無法聯繫!they rarely answer phones!! and problem can not be solved on time!!! 我們到了hotel.com訂房信上寫的地址,發現這只是辦公室, 打了十通電話才終於有人接聽, 臨時被通知換到另一個五公里外的地址, 大門鑰匙鎖在一個戶外的腳踏車鐵架上,我們費了很多力氣才拿到, and the conformation pass code for the door entry was wrong!! 打電話去詢問,又無人接聽, 對方用EMAIL寄給我們另一個密碼,WRONG AGAIN! 我們繼續被鎖在門外,打了幾十通電話都沒人接, 已經是深夜十點多,we were locked outside without any help!! 我們就去 CALGARY POLICE SERVICE尋求協助, 連警察也找不到這家公司任何的聯絡方法,他們覺得這是有問題的公司。建議我們留下記錄未來若受騙可以報案。 Until 23:10,we spent CAD200 to book another hotel nearby. it's really a very terrible experience!!! 不只如此,Newtel Suites還重複多收了我們兩次住宿費, 2017/4/16 charged CAD352,5/31charge CAD400 again! deduct payment twice!! The refund haven't yet to be received now!! This company is problematic! DO NOT BE THE NEXT VICTIM LIKE ME! 我們的住宿經驗太可怕了,帶個兩個7/8 years old的kids在半夜流落街頭無處可住,是惡夢一場! 我們在加拿大旅行25天, 其他每個住宿都很棒,但是Newtel Suites真的很差!完全破壞了我們美好的回憶! 我們已回到台灣,分享我們的經驗,希望大家不要選擇這間旅館! The only communications with them is by email and they did not reply to most of our emails. Until we actually had access to the unit we were starting to think we had been scammed. It was a very unpleasant experience dealing with Fastlane Suites. We booked Newtel Suites but when we arrived at the address the building was called Grid 5 Apartments. Very confusing! The apartment needed several repairs. The living room lamp was in a closet with the wall plug missing so we had no light in that room. The entry way light was burned out or not working as well as one of the bedroom lamps. The TV only had reception on 2 channels. The vertical blinds in the living room need attention. .

We had a horrible experience booking with Newtel Suites, who turns out to be Fast Lane Suites. They violated their term agreement and canceled out reservation without notifying us or Expedia. They ghosted us on the day of arrival by not answering phone calls or emails. We were stranded without accommodations in a foreign city for several hours before Expedia reps were able to book us an alternative. Newtel Suites had processed our payment at time of booking and never refunded us after the cancellation. Never book with Newtel Suites or Fast Lane Suites or any third party property management companylies!

Très grand condo, apparence soignée. Mais matelas en mousse ikea n'offrant aucun soutien, peut-être aussi usé. Manque de ventilation et d'air climatisé dans les chambres. Pas eu besoin de chauffage mais cela semble aussi être un problème car il y avait plusieurs chaufferettes d'appoint disponibles, ce qui serait peu sécuritaire avec du tapis.

This is not a hotel. This is a condo renting out empty apartments to keep the place full. As such there is NO front desk person, no emergency contact, and generally unreliable service from the contact options given. The address on Hotels.com is also not the address of the actual building. The info sheet we were given after online check-in was out of date and flat-out wrong on a few points including the location of the second key. The wifi network and password were different from the ones given in the info booklet and any type of customer service was very difficult to get ahold of leading to us being without internet for 3 days of a 5 day stay. The room itself while nice enough was not worth the hassle.

Was over a month before I received my deposit back. There's also a $50 cleaning fee tacked on top of the Expedia price. A lot of paperwork to fill out and email back and forth for a place to stay. Will never stay again and definitely would not recommend to a friend.
