I had a terrible experience at the Pan Pacific Hotel in Toronto. I was in the city for surgery and checked in clearly bandaged and in discomfort, arriving only 20 minutes before the “official 3pm check-in”. Despite my condition, the front desk clerk showed zero awareness or compassion, simply telling me I had to wait until exactly 3pm for my room. Once I did get checked in, the problems continued. The elevators were a nightmare—many weren’t working, and wait times were often 30–40 minutes just to get upstairs. They’ve responded saying that there’s always 2/3 elevators working, it’s not true, they’re lying. Inside the room, the walls were paper-thin; every door opening and closing down the hallway echoed loudly, making it impossible to rest. To top it all off, when I entered my room, the “welcome” message on the TV wasn’t even for me—it had someone else’s name on it. Between being understaffed, poor service, and broken elevators, this was hands down one of the worst hotel experiences I’ve ever had. I would never stay here again.

They had a problem with checking people in because the system was not excepting payments, no fault to the staff or hotel. There were also priblems with the elevators so it took a little longer than usual. They used to have several disabilty parking spots out front, now down to two, for a hotel this size you would expect more, they used to but they were painted over saying no parking. I have been staying at this hotel when it used to be called the Prince hotel so i am not new to it. This stay was a disappointment unfortunately, im not sure uf it was kids running down the hall at 10 p.m. or dogs, was in the 3 story part this time never staryed there always the tower, will not stay in that section again.

Good beds

The hotel is near a variety of restaurants. It was easy to get either a taxi or ride share options. I visited one of the two in house restaurants and it was good quality and service. The room was comfortable and had an updated bathroom/shower. Overall quiet place to rest.

Had parking for larger trucks and buses

Amazing suite. Lots of room. Great staff. Great food in lounge. Swimming pool, hot tub.

This is not the standard we expected of a Pan Pacific hotel. The windows in our room were absolutely filthy. You could write your name in the dirt on the window. The patio paint was peeling. The patio deck floor hadn’t been swept in some time. It was quite simply very dirty. The walk to the elevator from check in was at least the equivalent of a city block. The elevators were dated. The room and the whole property are very tired.

Check in staff were efficient, friendly and professional. The view was amazing from the 21st floor overlooking downtown Toronto in the distance at night.

Liked the outdoor area. Did not like no food or beverages allowed in pool area.

The room was well appointed, clean and excellent. It was noisy though - motorcycles roaring by and some ding dong bashing annoyingly loud metal containers at 5 in the Am ruined the stay. No pen? Cheap. You have to pay for parking. It's Ok but no winner.

Very large upscale room.

The hotel was in a great location. The rooms were very clean. The service was good. The bed however had a huge hole in it that I sunk in to the point where I couldn't move. Extremely uncomfortable I ended up sleeping at the bottom of the bed.

The restaurant staff were lovely and food was good. Front counter staff were also great, as was the location.

Exceeds expectations

The hotel is very beatiful and clean and the staff mailed us a hoody we forgot. Very good stay

The breakfast was very good, room was clean

The elevators when we got there 2 out of the 3 worked, one day later 1 out of 3 worked. We were there for 4 nights. The main lobby looked like a 5 star hotel but with the elevators not working to full capacity, the balcony should actually be condemned and the patio doors not opening properly, the bed was really hard and uncomfortable would be a reason we would not go back there. The staff was awesome and very helpful and professional.

The area is very safe. Very nice hotel. Although is far away from downtown, public transportation is very easy to take.
