The hotel is closed to the big supermarket and restaurants. Also convenient if you don't have a car as bus is available every 15-20 min to reach shopping center. Hospitality and kindness of hotel staff is excellent. We enjoyed our stay here very much.

I have never had such a disappointment in the room state of cleanliness. Mirrors were smeared as if a wet towel had been used to wipe them was the first indication. When I opened the drawer at the bedside table to put something in it I found bits of grit in the drawer. On checking other drawers, I found the same thing. I realized that the floor in the kitchen area had not been properly cleaned and washed. This certainly does not indicate a good rating for Marriott - I would expect a much higher quality of care. I would never stay at this hotel again. and I certainly would not recommend it to anyone else.

The room was clean but we never saw cleaning staff the 5 days we stayed! There was bags of garbage in the hallway near our room that never got moved for a couple days! We did get clean towels but had to get them from the front desk. When we asked for hand soap for the bathroom they said they didn’t have any. Staff were friendly but I think they were under staffed!

Friendly staff, good location, ok price. The rooms felt worn down and would benefit from thorough maintenance and deep cleaning. The first room I checked into had a completely clogged bathtub drain, a hanging light with a burned out bulb and a lamp with a broken plug that did not work, hairs on the bed and in the shower that were not mine, old towels with long threads hanging off them, splatters of something brownish on the bathroom door, dirty coffee mugs in the cupboard, and a sunken mattress. The staff offered me a room switch when I told them about the tub not draining. The second room was better, but the kitchenette tabletop was dirty (needed wiping down with a damp cloth, as it looked like someone had just wiped it off with a dry cloth leaving behind dried on liquids and food), the wall mounted hair conditioner in the shower was completely empty, and there were splashes of something all over the sides of the fridge and kitchenette table leg. This room had a wine bottle opener, but no wine glasses and only two drinking glasses. The person who was cleaning the rooms is likely very nice, but whenever I walked down the hall and they were cleaning a room with the door to the hall open, I could smell the cleaner's body odour from the hall. Everything throughout the hotel seemed scuffed up. As someone who expects a certain standard from Marriott, no matter what tier of hotel, I was disappointed. Knowing there are newer hotels in the city, I am not planning to stay here again.

The were great and our room was clean. Bed very comfy.

I was disappointed to see how some doors and walls were scuffed and paint off. TV didn't work properly and when we talked to front desk about it they said they would have maintenance go in and see what's wrong while we were out for dinner. When we returned we were told it's normal , tv works some times and sometime not. There was a nasty nauseating odor in the bathroom, possible urine . The heat unit was very noisy and vibrating all night. Was expecting better

The room was bad. I told them at the front desk that room was not good and they made no offer to move me. No one came to clean the room the next day. I asked about it twice. Finally when I complained at 6:30pm they sent a maintenance person to come clean up the room. He was pretty unkind I guess because he didn’t want to be there doing that. I’ve stayed here before and never had bad experience but I’m not pleased about this 2 night stay. Thanks

I was not able to get on the Internet nor was anyone able to help. I had to walk by smoke and smokers to get into the hotel. The pot holes driving in are embarrassing. They have been there over 5 years. You may want to let your staff know the hours for A and W beside your hotel. I use to always stay at your hotel. I travel to Thunder Bay for 4 days every 3 months on business
