グラン ホテル ゲルヴァソーニ

チェックインも素早く、丁寧に部屋まで案内して頂けました。ホテルは古いですが、歴史を感じさせる建物。 周囲には雰囲気の良いレストラン、ミュージーアム、アートショップ。ホテルを出ると港が一望できて、静かに過ごすにはとても立地は良いと思います。

とても雰囲気のある、アンティークなホテルです。部屋でのwifiはどこの部屋に当たるかによってあんまり電波がよくないかもしれません。まぁチリではどこのホテルでもよくありますが… 古い建物のため、エレベーターがなく、荷物が重いとちょっと大変かもしれませんが、頼めば運ぶのをお手伝いしてくれますので、非力でもなんとかなります。バケーションにはオススメです。景色がとても良いです。

丘の上にあり、窓からは、海が見え大変見晴らしがいいホテルでした。 観光やセントロに行くのに、毎回丘を降りたり、登ったりするのが大変でした。 アセンソールが、すぐ近くにあるので、それを使うと楽でした。 朝食は、種類も豊富で、海を見ながら食べる事が出来、大変良かったです。 ホテルのスタッフの方々も皆大変フレンドリーで、部屋数も少ないので、居心地は良かったです。ホテル自身大変古く、歴史を感じさせ、部屋も古い感じでしたが、それは、それで大変感動しました。ただ、2泊したのですが、2泊目の掃除がされていなかったのが、残念でした。

コンセプシオンの丘の上の眺めの良いホテル。夜景は特に素晴らしい。1870年に建てられたという建物で歴史を感じる。私の泊まった部屋はロフト部分にキングサイズのベットがあり、天井が高く広々した部屋だった。ただシャワーの蛇口の締りが悪いのと、部屋の窓が路面と廊下に面していた為、カーテンを開けると部屋の中が丸見えになってしまうのが難点。

The highlights of the hotel were not in the hotel itself... it was in the location. It was in a great location in Valparaiso that was easily walkable to most things. The view from both the room and the patio were incomparable. What lowered the score were several factors: 1. The room was extremely noisy from the street even with the doors and windows closed; 2. The room was very hot (no A/C) so the doors and windows had to be open at night and there were no fans; 3. The bathroom was small, had no fan, and the ceiling was so low that you had to hunch over to get under the shower head; and 4. there were a lot of bugs in the room. It should also be noted that in our room the bathroom was ensuite but down a spiral staircase in the room. The building has controlled access and so if the front desk person stepped away (as happened several times) you have to wait outside until they come back.

This a lovely old building with original antique furniture. Breakfast is served on the deck with a fantistic view of the harbor.

A well preserved heritage hotel with helpful staff. The area has lots of hip cafes and restaurants. There is an enormous amount of street art. Things to be aware of: The hotel is in the hilly part of the old city Valparaiso. You can expect very narrow cobbled streets and very steep climbs with lots of steps. Parking on the street is difficult.

This "hotel" is more akin to a BB than a typical hotel. It seems a converted mansion from days gone by. As a result you get aged, small rooms with small beds and tight bathrooms that, along with the common areas, creak and crunch as you and your neighbors walk around. It can be annoying in the middle of the night when your trying to get some sleep. Breakfast on the patio overlooking the bay was a highlight. The location is a high traffic area and that means noise at peak times. The Service was great and the place has its charm but be warned; the noises due to the age of the place and busy tourist location can be a problem.

The building is historic with much character. It does not look new, because it isn't. It is beautiful and interesting. The staff is very kind and breakfast was delightful. We hope to return in the future.

I didn't like the loft on room 10 because it was right under the terrace cafe so all the chair dragging was loud and right above you. Also, the hotel needs some furniture updating. Staff was great and hotel was very clean. Nice views!
